Remember Nicola & Andy’s engagement shoot?

Well, today I get to introduce you to the lovely lady behind that engagement shoot, and and of the lovely photos to come in this post – Becky Ryan Photography.. Marry Me Ink’s latest sponsor!

My name’s Becky, which you probably already knew, and I currently live in a small town in Derbyshire called Belper (near Derby and Nottingham).  I am originally from Liverpool, and still have a base in the North West, so I am more than happy to cover weddings in that area.  I’m personally not a fan of having my photograph taken, yet at the same time always think it’s nice to have good photographs of yourself and with family/friends etc, so I can definitely relate to others in the same boat who may be a little camera shy!

My favourite things include my camera, drawing, tea (especially vanilla or strawberry), cake (black forest gateau or chocolate fudge cake please!), animals, music, old postcards, cabaret shows, red lipstick, polka dot dresses, cute little cottages with flowers climbing up the walls, Flight of the Conchords, the colour duck-egg, books by Danny Wallace, fish and chips, handwritten letters, Hugh Jackman/Michael Fassbender/Aidan Turner, heart shaped things, travelling, record hunting in local charity shops…

It’s looking back through shots such as these that really put you back in that time and place to me and convey personalities, not the images created when you’re made aware of the photographers presence. As a result my style of photography is informal, fun, natural, and creative.
