What I’ve Been Up To – The Laura Ashley Festive Craft Event

I love meeting new people, especially local bloggers. Last Sunday I had the chance to do just that, along with plenty of crafting with Laura Ashley and Ministry Of Craft at Rosylee Tearooms in one of my favourite parts of Manchester.

First we got to sew our own bunting gift bag with some lovely Laura Ashley fabric.

Then after getting over the fact that I haven’t used a sewing machine in over 15 years (Even then it wasn’t that successful!) I managed to create my version of the bunting gift bag..

Then we were treating with beautiful snacks from the Rosylee kitchen.. They were all very scrummy! There were mini Yorkshire puddings filled with beef and horseradish, bruschetta and plenty of other things. I enjoyed it that much I’ve booked Rob & I in for a meal in the new year..

Then after lots of tea and nibbles, we went onto my favourite part of the crafting.. Origami gift boxes and bows (I think I did pretty well!)

This one isn’t mine, but it looked very similar! We got to use some very pretty Laura Ashley wallpaper for this craft – I’ll be definitely using this in the future!

Thank you for the team at Ministry Of Craft for the tutorials and for amending my silly sewing errors (there were a few!) and to the Laura Ashley team for inviting me to take part. If you want to download any of the tutorials for yourself, you can find them over on the Laura Ashley Blog here!
