The Fishpond in Matlock Bath, Derbyshire is the perfect little venue for those seeking a quirky wedding venue. Set in the popular tourist town of Matlock Bath, it has everything the discerning alternative bride needs: Candy, motorbikes, ice cream, arcades, and fish & chips. The only thing missing here is the sea – Matlock Bath truly is a unique landlocked seaside town.

The Fishpond itself also has everything an alternative bride could possibly need. From the moment you enter this cosy pub you are welcomed by the friendly team, who ensure the venue is always offering something for everyone. It’s ideally set up for weddings too with its 200 capacity ballroom with original vaulted ceiling and self contained bar. We also have a beautiful Restaurant with cosy and relaxed decor – the ideal location for the ceremony and intimate dining, a stunning multi tiered garden to the rear with a hot spring waterfall and an outside bar.

The Fishpond truly has something unique with its “Pick n Mix” wedding packages, meaning that you are not tied to set packages, giving you the freedom to pick and mix the elements you want. Bespoke menus, a la carte dining, buffets and hog roasts are all on offer here, all prepared fresh from scratch. The in house bakery produces its own breads and cakes – it’s also well known for its amazing stone baked pizzas.
