I have always love the sweet, ethereal style of E&W Couture (Which until recently I didn’t realise stood for “Ears & Whiskers Couture” – Hence the rabbit ears on their logo!), so when Carly Turner Photography sent me this beach hut shoot, I just had to say yes to featuring it! Carly sent me little email with all the details about the shoot..
I’m a wedding photographer and love shooting weddings, but I also love all the girly bits – especially the dresses! I photographed a wedding in the Spring and my bride had this really simple, unique two piece outfit (long skirt and seperate strapless crop top). The bride had told me that it had been made by E&W Couture and that I should check out the website as they had some really gorgeous stuff.
I got in contact with E&W Couture and ended up arranging to use their dresses on some styled bridal work. I chose dresses that I thought would suit the models best.

Just over a week ago, I had the opportunity to visit the Great Northern Wedding Show where Marry Me Ink’s ultimate favourite Legend Bridal Designs had their own slot on the runway – The Alternative Catwalk.
Having such a massive love for Charlotte, Rach and the team at Legend Bridal Designs, I just had to be there and on the front row to witness the gowns in all their glittering glory. The catwalk was perfectly captured by ZT Photography (Which is why I’m using them because, as you can see, I’m busy Instagramming and catching the dresses as they pass the front row!) and she even included a little shoot in the car park afterwards.
This dress was a combination of gorgeous silk and featured a fresh flower train from another of Marry Me Ink’s favourites – Paragon Floral Design. I took a few shots and videos myself and uploaded them to the Marry Me Ink Instagram page if you want to check out the rest of the day! Continue reading

How was everyone’s summer?!! Where did you go on holiday or did you stay and chill out with your pooches and kitties? I got engaged in Rhodes!! (More about that in a future post though!).
Today on Marry Me Ink I get to share with you this fab bridal shoot from Vickerstaff Photography that took place in the awesome SEVEN BRO7HERS BREWERY on the edge of Manchester City Center with tall glittering light up “Mr & Mrs Rock” from Words To Glow.
With a partner who just happened to be co-owner of a trendy, up and coming local micro-brewery on the edge of Manchester City Centre, I knew it’s fabulous working brewery and surrounding industrial backdrop would provide just the most amazing images for this edgy, industrial inspired shoot. I just love brides who dare to be different and wanted to showcase how previously unthought-of working industrial locations could provide the most modern and contemporary setting for your special occasion or wedding day.
With an ode to popular rock culture and in celebration of popular pop up bars such as the one at Seven Bro7hers; the shoot embraced the ‘rock goddess’ theme to the max. Leather biker jackets, bold, cutting edge hair and makeup, doc marten boots, electric guitars and beautiful lighting and photography combined with the pared back, trendy décor of the working brewery and bar made for some fantastically inspirational shots.

Today on Marry Me Ink I get to share with you tattooed bride Carys and Andy’s festival wedding, full of rich, dark colours, that took place in the awesome RSA Vaults in Charing Cross from Derbyshire Wedding Photographer Chris Seddon Photography. Carys wore a gorgeous deep red dress from FairyGothMother who specialise in steel boned corsetry.
I used to get the 8.24am train from London Bridge to Streatham for work. There was a guy who used to get on everyday. To my friends he was “fit train guy”. He used to get off at Streatham every morning but he walked so fast I never saw where he went. One day I went for a new job at my company and as I wandered through one of the other departments looking for the manager to talk to about the role, I spotted fit train guy. I then quickly realised that fit train guy was the manager I was going to talk to.
Andy and I worked together for a number of years in the same department but not directly with each other after the first 18 months. We had similar music tastes and interests and were often at the same gigs. In 2009 we both came out of long-term relationships and hung out together to help each other out post break ups and grew close. Nearly 7 years later we found ourselves walking down the aisle together.
We spent a lot of time making sure we had the right things to represent us from clothes we wore to the decorations in the venue. My favourite items though are the wedding rings which we had custom made by Chris Parry jewellery. Andy’s is a combination of skulls, tattoo designs and a very subtle nod to his second love, Playstation while mine embodies my Welsh heritage with dragon scales made from rose gold in a palladium band setting.
The “WEDLOAD 2016” board as well as our guest signing guitar were also small touches to the day that encapsulated our love of festivals and music. And lastly the clothes and footwear. My dress was something I had in mind for years so I knew what I wanted before Andy had even proposed. I was never going to be wearing white! And despite looking at lots of different suits for Andy that just made him look too much like a normal work day, we were pleased with the outfit we purchased from Dark Angel that just made him look special for the day.
We had a few DIY elements. My knitting group helped me make bunting to decorate the venue. I also made all the table decorations for the day by collecting old cassettes from friends and family, painted them red, stuck them together and added some fairy lights for an awesome effect. I also make a punk rock Garfield to throw instead of my bouquet. I am a huge Garfield fan and back in 2004 at Reading festival I made something similar to ensure I didn’t lose my friends in the crowd. So it felt fitting at a festival themed wedding to throw something that reminded me of festivals.
