A Celebration Of Tattoos, Music And Love – Emma & James

Lorna Lovecraft (48)

Today’s gorgeous tattooed bride is Emma – who decided a gorgeous fifties Lindy Bop wedding dress was the way to awesomely show her ink when she married husband James. Their wedding took place in Stone and alternative wedding photographer Lorna Lovecraft caught the beauty of it all, including Emma’s new tattoo that she got on the morning on their wedding day!

Unfortunately, there was nothing exciting about our meeting. We met at a pub in a fairly local village. I do remember that whenever James would come to pick me up, you would hear his beloved car before you saw him – Thankfully that’s long gone now.

Our clothes reflected our love of the vintage but with a modern edge. The tattoo that I had on the day, showing our love for tattoos and the music, because no one does music like the 50’s. It was perfect for us!

A Colourful Tattooed Filled Wedding – Clare & Jon

Clare-&-Jon---ELS-Design-Photography033

Remember tattooed bride Clare and husband Jon’s Tattooed Spring Garden engagement shoot and story of how Jon proposed using their dog? Well, it’s now time to share their super gorgeous colourful wedding that took place earlier this year (after only 20 weeks of planning too!) from Emma of ELS Design Photography.

I knew who Jon was for a while, he used to come to my work for lunch every now and then, a while later we met in a night club and we briefly spoke. However, a few weeks later, by coincidence, we was set up by a mutual friend! We only needed the one date – we just clicked!

The overall theme of the wedding represented us, everything from our ceremony music to bridesmaid dresses. – we both love anything 50’s. We only had 20 weeks to plan our wedding, but I think we did a wonderful job! As soon as we booked our special day, we were shopping for decorations, favours and  table pieces.. Most of them we had to make ourselves, but it was nice to have some personal touches to the day – Jon made all the stationery.

A 50s Retro Superhero Wedding – Amy & Neil

Amy & Neil-252

Today on Marry Me Ink, tattooed bride Amy shares with us her wedding to Neil with plenty of DIY elements and photography from Jess Yarwood.

Amy & Neil-296

Neil and I first met when I was 12 and he was 16. I  had a massive crush on him but after 3 years, we lost touch. We eventually met back up 6 years ago at my older sisters birthday party and hit it off big time.

A stand out moment for me was my 6 year old son walking me down the aisle.

An Old School Tattoo Party – Anna & Conor

MMI_4470

Today I get to share with you Anna and Conor’s awesome tattoo themed wedding from Lorna Lovecraft Photography. Though Anna isn’t tattooed, they had a friend design all the old school tattoos that were using in all the decoration throughout the whole wedding.

We both met each other  online. I was a serial dater and liked to have my dinner bought for me at least once a week!! Conor was date number 25!! We hit it off straight away, I knew instantly he was the one for me. Our date turned into a whole weekend and only stopped because we has to go to work!! We were pretty much inseparable from that moment on.

Our wedding was on an extreme budget!! So I made as much as I could and pulled in many favours!! Our rings were made as a gift by my best friend who is a goldsmith, she melted down old family wedding rings to make ours, I love the thought of all the previous, now deceased couples who have loved each other and their wedding rings which are now in ours. Also, I slaved over 80m of bunting and 100 favours… The most fun bit was being joined by a close friend and drinking wine and eating cheese whilst inserting confetti into clear plastic baubles!!
