MMI_3786

How is it the end of February already? Did any of you get engaged over Valentines Day? I’d love to hear from you if you did, as Marry Me Ink is still looking for 2015’s tattooed bride. You can read more about that here.

Today, I get to introduce you to another super supplier – Emma Warley Photography! You may have seen Emma’s work previously – Stephanie and Jock’s Falling Foss Tea Garden wedding

My name is Emma Warley and I take photos that will make you smile, laugh and even cry (in a good way). I’m an alternative wedding photographer in that I don’t just turn up, get the group shots and go home, I stay with you all day and rock it.

I live by the seaside in Scarborough with my husband Richard and two cats, Eddie and Meg. I have rainbow hair, am obsessed with The Goonies and listen to an awful lot of music.

The inspiration for my work comes from love and people who love each other, as corny as that sounds, it’s what makes me have a passion for what I do. I take a lot of inspiration from films, music and the places around me too. I try to make the photographs I take of you show your love and personalities to the world and make you remember even the most fleeting of moments with fondness and a big ol’cheesy grin.

My favourite brides and grooms have big smiles, aren’t afraid to show their emotions and are totally up for fun and laughter on their wedding day!

My name’s Becky, which you probably already knew, and I currently live in a small town in Derbyshire called Belper (near Derby and Nottingham).  I am originally from Liverpool, and still have a base in the North West, so I am more than happy to cover weddings in that area.  I’m personally not a fan of having my photograph taken, yet at the same time always think it’s nice to have good photographs of yourself and with family/friends etc, so I can definitely relate to others in the same boat who may be a little camera shy!

EXCLUSIVE: It’s Oh My Honey Week!

Good morning! As you may (or not) know that this week is #OHMYHONEYWEEK.

“What’s Oh My Honey Week?” I hear you say – WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL WEEK?!! Oh My Honey is launching their 2013 wedding dress range THIS WEEK and Far From The Wedding Crowd, The Bijou Bride, So You’re Getting Married and Marry Me Ink have been able to show you the first ever looks of the beautiful range!

This week the new bridal wear collection for 2013 will be revealed at an exclusive event in Brighton. The Oh My Honey Bridal collection consists of 9 beautifully handmade wedding gowns full of vintage character. The dresses all capture the classic 1950’s elegance; nipped in waists, graceful tailoring and beautiful fabrics, with an Oh My Honey touch; unique detailing, playful design and exceptional construction. The designs incorporate silks, chiffon, feathers, lace, silver beading and frothy petticoats to create an effortlessly feminine vintage bridal look.

Designer Louise says “After the popularity of last year’s collection, I have taken into account what was most popular for woman and what they look for in a wedding dress. I tried to focus on these points and also brought in my own ideas to make the collection and stand out. I wanted to have a consistent theme trough the designs, but also have variety, there is a mix of sleeved and strapless, fitted and full skirts, mid length and full length, simple and embellished designs.”

Today I get to introduce you to Alice and Kate – two beautiful dresses from Oh My Honey’s 2013 bridal collection. ARE YOU READY?!!
