Charlotte Balbier – Balbier Separates

Balbier Separates

Today I get to share with you the gorgeous new collection of separates from Marry Me Ink favourite Charlotte Balbier. I think bridal separates are a great idea, especially if you’re having difficulty of finding a dress with all the perfect pieces – The Charlotte Balbier separates collection ensures you get your favourite train along with your ideal laced tops, complete with a waist belt of your choice!

Hero & Cosima

Above are the three basic slips to start creating your dream dress. First is the Hero camisole and Cosima “A” line in shape with pockets and a pitted waist band. Secondly is the Harper satin dress – A great slip base to overlay with a lace top, or to just leave on its own. Lastly is Cecily – A soft tulle gown with lace underlay and short tulle sleeves and delicate lace motifs on the bodice and sleeves. Cecily comes with a detachable tulle train detail.

AW1251 Sash

Above are the stunning waist belts to adorn your dress – AW-1251, AW-1237, AW-1252 and the Belle Belt

A Classic Neon Rock & Roll Shoot

MMI_0303

Today I get to share with you this awesome rock & roll tattooed styled shoot  full of neon colours from Belle Tulle Events, Liquid Crystal Photography and many more suppliers! Jeneen of Belle Tulle Events sent through this awesome shoot last month and I just had to share it!

“Crystal and I came up with the idea for this shoot because we LOVE working with brides and grooms who have their own styles and are willing to push boundaries with colors and design.”

We find a lot of alternative brides may not hire certain vendors because they think they will get stuck in a traditional look but we wanted to show that there are many sides to our styles and what we can do for our couples.

We were so excited once we got our colors (neon pink, yellow, lime, black and gold) and styles on the drawing board (we were really into lace, crinkle texture, jewels, glam, and skulls), and when we got our vendors in tow, you could just feel the gusto with which everyone participated. Once our stationer, Scripted Ever After, came up with the neon and skull motif for the invitations, we knew we were on the right track.

Bee Ridge Florist was so excited to be doing something different, that she even gave us her skull earrings to use in the centrepiece arrangements! Custom Linens provided tablecloths for the head, cupcake, and favor tables which provided a really elegant backdrop, and accented the gold chiavari chairs and the art-deco chandelier hanging over the head-table.

Hi! I’m Tracey and I run Black Cherry Designs. I have been making clothes since I was old enough to use a sewing machine and have studied Fashion clothing design and pattern making. I have always had a passion for all things unique and I have always swayed towards vintage style clothing and accessories. Because as I am not a size 12 or below I struggle to get things in my size.

So I, in my frustration began making my own replica clothes for my own individual style. Having discovered my talent I then started making garments for family and friends, which then escalated into what I am today.  I specialise in female Rockabilly and Vintage styles however I am able to look at all styles for any custom made items.  Continue reading
