I know, I’ve been teasing you this week with this wedding – But now it’s here! Featuring amazing photography (as always) from Tux & Tales Photography, beautiful DIY flowers, the coolest couple ever, an awesome Nightmare Before Christmas tattoo and a “first MOSH” instead of a first dance! I can’t wait for you to see the rest!
We met at a skate park because we’re grown ups, honest.
He was bouncing all over the place on his BMX and that was us practically living together within no time at all. So we got engaged and married a year exactly from our engagement.
More can be found on my website www.fairytaleasylum.com where I’ve put info on our engagement and how we met into my blog along with pictures of ducks (everyone likes ducks, makes a change from cats) and stuffs.
The whole day was pretty chilled out which is pretty much how we roll, we got rid of traditions we weren’t so fussed about like speeches and stuffs so we could relax and enjoy the day, the best man was very happy with that too.
The table décor was picked up from charity shops, vintage markets and friend’s lofts… it’s amazing what you can find especially in friends lofts. My mother made up all the flowers and bouquets. The table nametags, invites, and favours we made up ourselves.
The most fun, but stressful bit was the cake…. My brother sculpted the skull, one of the bridesmaids made the sponge and my dad iced the cake, and then everyone else mucked in with the roses and heart – Group effort!
I love my tattoos, they are a big part of me so much so that I often forget they are there… even though they are huge.
So many people asked me how I was going to cover them for the wedding, really!? I’d have looked like a nun. So I just bought the dress that made me feel the most like a princess and showed of my arms and chest tattoos.
How cool are Emma & Kyle! I do love skulls, and that cake is awesome! Be sure to leave them both some love! Huge thank you to them both for sharing their wedding on Marry Me Ink today and to Jaye of Tux & Tales Photography for amazing photographs!
