Today I get to share with you the rad wedding of Maria & Sam from What The F4 Photography.. They both met through friends at Roller Derby.

“I spotted Sam’s tattoos and beard and thought he looked interesting. He won me over with his sense of humour and big heart.. For Sam I think it was my tattooed thighs!”

I don’t have a creative bone in my body! This is when the little independent shops and Etsy came in handy! Being able to have our wedding reception on a boat with Halloween decorations made it fun and very special.

As I was able to design my dress with Sophie Creed of Ears and Whiskers at Hubbard’s Cupboard from scratch, I didn’t really have to take too much into consideration. The only this I was adamant about was that I didn’t want lace or any other kind of sleeves – It was important that I was able to be me and show my ink off! 

We went to Australia for our Honeymoon and got tattooed by a guy called Heath Nock at Hunter and Fox, Alexandria, Sydney. We both had the same Shark tattooed.

Matt and Alex, our photographers, really wanted to capture Sam’s reaction for when he first saw me! I think we were all inspired by pictures we’d seen on Pinterest! I waited out side St Nicks Market and Sam was led from the pub to meet me.. His reaction was priceless..He even shed a few tears.
