Today I get to share with you the gorgeous tattooed bride-to-be Emma and her fiancé Chris’ engagement shoot (with the most amazing golden hour light!) from West Yorkshire wedding photographer Maryanne Scott. The story of how Emma and Chris met is lovely!
We initially met on a dating website in mid 2011. After months of exchanging texts messages and lengthy phone calls we finally decided to meet in person in December 2011. Chris lived on the Lincolnshire coast and I lived in West Yorkshire but he decided he had a good feeling about us meeting so he drove up to meet me.
Our first “face to face” date was coffee and cake at a Starbucks.. Needless to say we hit it off, he well and truly swept me off my feet and we spent the three days together!!! We had a long distance distance relationship from then until he moved up to Yorkshire in October 2012.
Over Easter in 2012, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and was very unwell. He wanted to turn a bad memory into a good one, so the morning of Easter Sunday 2013, I was brought breakfast in bed along with two hand carved bunny rabbits which had “Emma will you marry me?” written across them.
I recall squealing lots and kissing him, but still to this day don’t think I actually said “YES”!!! I’m fairly sure it was implied though!!
I’ve actually got my arm tattoo especially for the wedding! I had wanted a chest piece doing, but couldn’t settle on a design in time! If I’d have had the time and money, I would have had more work done! I’m into 50’s style so a shorter dress was always an inevitable choice for me, just had the added bonus of showing off my leg tattoo!
How awesome is Emma and Chris’ story?! I seriously cannot wait to see their wedding and to see Emma in her 50s dress! Thank you to them both and to Maryanne Scott Photography for sharing with Marry Me Ink!
