Today I have the pleasure of featuring this gorgeous couple’s city wedding. I got to meet Kendra a few weeks back when shooting for new tattoo magazine – Things and Ink (Out November!).
Their story is fantastic – Are you ready to delve in?!!
“We met through mutual friends at a club that neither of us really wanted to go to on that particular evening. He sat down next to me as our friends were chatting, and I kid you not, within minutes of meeting him, I knew he was ‘the one’. Needless to say, as we began dating, I already knew he was not just another boyfriend, but the one and only, that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with!
“Hearing the song ‘Can’t help falling in love’ by Ingrid Michaelson begin to play at the beginning of the ceremony. That was our song to walk in to together. We looked at each other just before, and were just like, “Right, this is really happening! Let’s do this!”
“The day was simple, happy, and blissful. There was really no stress- just family, vows, rings, champagne, and cupcakes. I loved the family element. My Dad flew over from America. The DIY bit was making my own headpiece, and finding wedding shoes on sale! All the boys in the ceremony had matching ties, and my husband and his father had matching “wedding socks”
“We have matching anchor tattoos on the side of our hand, and our wedding date tattooed! Mine is on my wrist, incorporated into my sleeve, and Chris’ is on his chest. He is going to get a blonde gypsy girl version of me and I plan to get a traditional ‘gentleman’ tattoo to represent my beloved. (moustache and glasses included, of course!)
“My tattoos made my wedding dress even more awesome!”
How awesome are Chris and Kenra?! Be sure to leave them some love!
