Happy December! I’ve been waiting for the perfect time to share this beautiful shoot styled by the wonderful Alex of The Bijou Bride to showcase the launch of Oh My Honey‘s first bridal collection late 2011.
Photography by the fabulous Laura of Babb Photo.
“Our inspiration came from gothic fairytales, woodland nymphs and The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe. We wanted the table to look as though you’d stepped out of the Narnian wardrobe for a magical woodland wedding breakfast.
“The cake was a simple shop bought sponge cake that was roughly covered with white icing, topped with blueberries and a heavy sprinkling of icing sugar. A silver heart tilted to one side and a lace dress collar finished the decoration. The gilver frosted branches made another appearance as an alternative wedding bouquet.
“We used an eclectic mix of silver lanterns, wood blocks, white net pom-poms, animal skin throws and deer skulls in Louise’s garden backdrop, shooting at crazy o’clock to capture the morning winter frost. And smoke bombs added to the other-worldly feel.”
How exceptionally eerie is this frosty fairytale shoot? Thank you to Alex, Laura and Louise for sharing this shoot this chilly evening. My favourite things in the shoot are the antlers, the gorgeous Oh My Honey gowns and the gliver twigs in the bottles above. What are your favourite peices?
