Good morning! Today I’m bringing you this gorgeous and girly shoot from Martin Hobby Photography, Delicieux Cakes and many more great suppliers!
“Taking my inspiration from the imagery of her tattoos, I devised the theme of the shoot around her artwork.” says Gwenda of Fearless Florals “Horses, cupcakes and flowers were the leading motifs, the greens, blues, pinks and yellows the main colour palette.”
We only had a week to get the shoot together, so I chose to work with a select number of individuals who I knew would produce the goods. Louise of Oh My Honey lent us some of her fantastic frocks, teamed with petticoats from Petticoats-a-plenty, with which I paired eye-catching veils and hair accessories by Karen of Dornellie.
Sjaniel expertly applied the make-up and tended to the taming of the ‘hair’, a striking wig procured specially for the occasion. Renza of Delicieux Cakes crafted some absolute masterpieces for us, which tasted every bit as amazing as they looked (which is a good thing as we did make our model Ella try quite a lot of them – all in the name of art, you understand!)
The riding school were so kind and let us roam around all day – they even gave Alfie (the little horse) and Romeo (the big one) a special groom and allowed our ‘bridesmaid’ (aka my daughter, Nadia) to have a post-shoot ride. All in all, a brilliant shoot and I’m so grateful to everyone who was involved!
How amazing is this shoot? I love how Squirrels Riding School had the two horses out on the day. Fantastic!
Be sure to leave some love for Martin Hobby Photography and all those involved! (There’s a full list of suppliers at the end of the post!)
