Today I get to share with you Sam and Shane’s cosy woodland engagement shoot and their amazing story of how hard work got to where they are today. Their engagement shoot was by the amazing Northern based Dan Hough Photography.. I can’t wait for their wedding!
We met at a rock pub in Manchester through friends. As we lived two hours away from each other, we worked very hard to make sure we saw each other – sometimes only for a night a week.
I decided to move to be with him so I quit my job and moved in with him and his parents. They were lovely but it wasn’t the ideal situation. A hard year and three jobs later, we finally had stable jobs and enough money to move out and we haven’t been happier!
One night, he surprised me with a hotel and flowers. I was getting ready to go for the meal and he had the ring and a bottle of wine waiting for me when I came out of the bathroom.
It was the best night! He had wanted to wait and make it more special, but couldn’t wait to show how much he had appreciated all the hard work I had done to keep us together by moving to be with him and didn’t want to wait to ask.
I did take into account my tattoos when searching for my dress, yes, I didn’t want to hide or cover any up, as my parents aren’t that fond of them. I have chosen a dress that shows them all off.
Seriously – I can’t wait for their tattooed wedding! Thank you to Sam, Shane and Dan Hough Photography for sharing their engagement shoot with Marry Me Ink!
