What’s better than a day at the beach? How about when your parents live on the coast and are willing to host your wedding day? Well that’s exactly what tattooed bride Tabi’s parents did for her and Roy’s wedding earlier this year. With photography from Sarah McEvoy Photography, the day looks totally chilled out.
Early on, we both agreed that we really liked the idea of having a small, intimate wedding with just our immediate families – to create a really relaxed and special atmosphere where we, and our guests, could just enjoy ourselves. No pressure, no fuss, but an amazing day.
As you may have noticed, we had a lot of DIY aspects in our wedding. In fact, almost everything that we could DIY, we did! It did begin to seem a bit mad, all of the projects that we wanted to accomplish but that’s just us – we love doing things ourselves, making things to our liking or needs, and being able to customise them to perfectly suit us as a couple. Towards the end it definitely seemed crazy, but it was so worth it!
Roy and I spend a lot of time together on projects and hunting for bits and pieces that we can renovate or up-cycle and add to our home. We also agreed that we wanted our wedding theme to be somewhat simple.
Sarah (Sarah McEvoy Photography) was so awesome on the day, and truly capturing the essence of our special day! She was so amazing, and could not recommend her more. She was so relaxed, in the way that I think nervous brides and grooms need, but so attentive and didn’t miss a beat. She rocks!
Nosh, our caterers, were simply amazing. The food was amazing, no question! They were amazing throughout the whole planning process, they met with us a few times before and made sure we had everything we needed. On the day they went above and beyond to make our day perfect – they were even awesome enough to completely redo the venue from our ceremony layout to our reception layout while we were doing getting photos. When we came back, it was completely transformed! We could not recommend them highly enough!
How gorgeous does Tori and Roy’s coastal wedding look? Thank you to them both and to Sarah McEvoy Photography for sharing with Marry Me Ink. Be sure to leave them some love!
