HAPPY NEW YEAR! Who got engaged over the holidays and midnight celebrations this weekend? Today I get to bring you a gorgeous tattooed inspiration shoot all the way from the French Riviera from Doctib Photo who also got inspiration for their shoot from Marry Me Ink which is awesome!
For this inspiration wedding photoshoot, we wanted something that mixes nature, including tattoos and flowers, and Rock culture (custom dress, tags, motorbike, and rock concert).
We wanted also to have an amazing place, we found this abandoned church close to Frejus and fell in love with the place. The church has burned in the 70s and was never been repaired. This church is in the middle of the nature, surrounded with pin trees, on the top of a mountain – Magic!
For the bride, dress designer Marynea wanted something different from a normal dress, she created a two-parts dress, with 2 tops. For the ceremony – a black crop top, made of French lace, sensual and very feminine. For the party she wanted something fun – she used a Jack Daniel’s t-shirt and made a backless top, that revealed the tattoos of the bride.
The afternoon was all about the couple, feeling the love between them, having a Rock’n’roll ceremony in the middle of the nature in front of the Church. Their ceremony was done by a tattooed priest with flowing beard and a guitar player (playing nothing “Nothing else matter” J.Hendrix).
For the floral part, Julie of Mademoiselle Jules didn’t want a conventional bridal bouquet. She wanted to mix the bride’s flower tattoos with real flowers, and she stuck the flowers directly on the skin. As well for the evening, instead of a bouquet she made a heavy floral headband (with deep red amaryllis and hydrangea). It enabled the bride to drink, dance, play drums and enjoy the party. Julie also made custom moss and flower letters (the bride’s name is Ondine and groom’s one is Brice). The motorbike also had flower garland.
The evening part took place in a concert hall where the manager let us go on stage, behind the bar, playing with lights and smog: it was crazy and fun. Moreover we enjoyed 3 mad and amazing bands during the night. Even our real couple were a part of the whole idea and inspiration. The groom is a tattooist in Cannes and most of the bride’s tattoos are his art and creation. She wears his love under her skin.
What an awesome idea for a shoot! There’s a full list of suppliers at the end of the post – be sure to leave them some love! And thank you to Thiebauld of Doctib Photo for sharing this shoot with Marry Me Ink.
