Rockabilly Beloved Shoot – Steve & Heidi [Tattooed Bride Blog]

Today I bring to the tattooed bride blog – a beloved shoot from David Wickham Photography.

From Steve’s mohican and chequered shirt to Heidi’s red hair and retro sunglasses, I love how relaxed this rockabilly shoot is.

David explains here how much fun they had: “Photographing Heidi and Steve in a Beloved couple shoot had me smiling from start to finish. From the moment they started dancing to Heidi jumping on Steve’s back, capturing this lovely couple’s style and energy, romantic and unique, was awesome.

I do love this shoot even though Heidi is not tattooed, she’d love to be one day: We had such a great time shooting these pics with David, it was a gorgeous day and we had a lot of fun with it. I’m looking forward to doing some more shots in my favourite Rockabilly style! Maybe even brandishing a much desired pin up tattoo I have been longing for!

I love the idea of getting a pin up tattoo, especially the Sailor Jerry style.. That’s another now to add to my want list!

Fakeiversary – Personal [Tattooed Bride Blog]

So, time for a personal post from the Marry Me Ink lady herself..

According to social networking site, Facebook, it is Rob & I’s 1year anniversary since our “engagement”.. I am using dreary quotation marks because I am here to point out that we are NOT engaged – Even though Facey tells you we are..
THIS is because around this week last November, I cooked for the whole household on two separate occasions, including my housemate and his friends. On both of these occasions, I had “wooed” Rob over with my wonderful curries.

That weekend he presented me with an “Engagement Medallion”.. Something that looked like an over the top Hip Hop chain (You get the idea).

We had to make if “official” I was told, and the next I know, it’s everywhere that we’re “engaged”, much to the bemusement of all my friends who took no time in congratulating us on our latest news.

To celebrate the first year of our “engagement” I bring you photos from the lovely couples’ shoot by Lisa Brown of when we visited Brighton for a family wedding back in June. It’s been such a fun year of being “engaged”.

Enjoy! – Rach.XX

(For the record – we did eventually get together on New Years Eve/Day)

A Multicoloured Fairground Engagement Shoot – Andy & Jessica [Tattooed Bride Blog]

Today I bring you the colourful engagement of Andy & Jessica from Dixie Pixel where it’s not the bride-to-be is tattooed – but the groom!

Pictures were taken at Tennessee Valley Fair, it looks like they had lots of fun, especially on the ferris wheel!
I am in love with Jessica’s hair!

Do leave some love as this engagement shoot is absolutely stunning!

Liam & Fiona’s Inky Bicycle Engagement [Tattooed Bride Blog]

Look what arrived in my inbox! From Laura Babb of this cute picnic wedding complete with bicycles & a trip to a tattoo studio, I couldn’t WAIT to share these images with you!

Liam’s story:

“Fiona and I have been together for about a year and a half, and in January this year we decided that we would like to get married. I say “we decided” as before meeting each other marriage really wasn’t on the cards or in the thoughts of either of us.

The decision to get married was the easy bit… I then had to plan and pull off the proposal. Funny way round of doing things I know but I really wanted to ask Fiona to marry me properly. I decided to cook Beef Wellington, the dish I cooked on our first proper date as she had mentioned it was her favourite.

Date night was on, the Wellington was in the oven, the wine was on the table, all was going well. Trying not to show I was feeling a little nervous as I had never asked anyone such a big question before, I served dinner. We had just started eating I had moved the vintage family ring from my pocket into my hand then some words from Fiona that I really didn’t want to hear “If you’re not going to propose tonight you’re going to find it hard to top this”.

Well that certainly took the element of surprise out of the evening. I tried to regain some composure, managed to get down onto one knee before the tears started “Will you make me happy for the rest of my life? Fiona will you marry me?” then the best word said with tears running down her face “Yes”.

We decided to have a pre and post wedding shoot as Laura Babb, the photographer we wanted to work with, was unable to make it up to Grimsby for our wedding.”

From sipping the champagne & eating berries in Brockwell park on a Sunday morning to pushing bicycles & eating cake, Laura captured Liam and Fiona in such a fabulous way! Fiona went and celebrated their engagement by getting a tattoo.. (which Laura also snapped some pictures of!)

Look through the shots to see Fiona’s lovely engagement tattoo & Liam’s epic Frank Turner tee!

Do leave some wonderful comments for Laura and the fantastic couple!
