DIY Vegan Wedding With A Gothic & Southern Feel – Evan & Sean

Today on Marry Me Ink, I get to share with you Evan & Sean’s gothic Southern wedding at California’s Old Crocker Inn in from Matthew William Photography.

Evan was living in Fullerton, and was interested in stopping by her favourite little bar nearby, to grab a glass of wine and some freshly made french fries. Perfectly content at sitting on her own and not being bothered while she played games on her phone, surfing the socials and people watching, she couldn’t help but notice the piercing blue eyes of her server, catching her off guard. Trying to get his attention long enough to catch those eyes locking in on her own, she started some small talk with him, asking him about how much he liked working at that bar, and what else he did for a living. Sean was his name and he informed her that he worked at another bar she liked very much, when he wasn’t working there.

As the basket of fries diminished, the table next to her was annoyingly specific with what they wanted, asking silly requests and clearly frustrating Sean while he tried to take their order and satisfy them. Evan and Sean locked eyes and exchanged multiple funny glares at the odd requests they made. Sean smirked at Evan while taking her neighbouring table’s order, and she smiled back.

Evan decided she would just have to show up at that other bar as well, to offer another chance opportunity for their paths to cross. Doodling all over her check for Sean to see, she headed for the door and she was leaving, he called out to her, standing in the middle of the aisle when he should’ve been working and said, “Goodbye Evan!” She turned around, startled by someone calling her name, as she was stuck in her head, high on the flirt, and awkwardly ran into the door on her way out saying, “Oh! Bye . . . Sean!”

Less than 24 hours went by before Sean had found Evan on Instagram, and followed her. She immediately followed him back (although he didn’t post much), and another day or two went by before she slyly showed up at his other bar, just to see if he remembered her. As soon as she walked through the bar door, he made a spot for her right at the bar, near him, introduced her to all his regular customers and coworkers, and they talked the night away. They went on their first date that week, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

Eloped By The Creek – A Styled Vintage & Floral Shoot

Today on Marry Me Ink, I get to share with you this styled elopement from Christine Quarté Photography. Featuring a gorgeous grey dress and the cutest couple – Sweetwater Creek State Park makes the idyllic location for the elopement.

Whimsical dress, beautiful scenery, and a fun couple. This vintage floral inspired elopement stemmed from my love of my garden and unique wedding dresses. “Amelia & Jeremy” were the perfect couple – currently engaged and soon to be wed, so totally, madly in love with each other already.

With the colorful dress, some light pink pumps, and a sweet bouquet, added with this fun and quirky couple, this styled elopement screamed “in love” and romantic with a little whimsy.

Wed In Central Park – Hannah & Leigh’s New York Elopement

Today on Marry Me Ink, I get to share with you Hannah and Leigh’s Central Park elopement from Windcatcher Photography and Claire at Wed In Central Park.

Many might be surprised to learn that weddings in the US are legally binding all over the world. So, for example Brits and Australians, such as Hannah and Leigh, can arrive in New York and get married within a day or two. Even outdoors, somewhere as classically iconic as Central Park. All you have to do is go to City Hall to pick up your marriage license, wait at least 24 hours, and then you can have the ceremony. Someone like Wed in Central Park can do the rest for you. So, you can relax and enjoy your wedding, and the celebrations in the incredible city of New York, truly a place with something for everyone. Then, a few weeks after your return home, you will get your marriage certificate in the post to your home address.

“We had the ceremony in Cop Cot which was my favourite in the whole park, not just for the ceremony but the pictures were just beautiful too. We rode bikes around a week prior to the wedding and I just knew we picked the perfect location. We travelled 20 hours on a plane to New York from our home in Melbourne, Australia, and we had almost 2 weeks there before the wedding as it was my first time so had to fit in plenty of sightseeing and shopping. I had a fairly traditional lace white dress but nothing big or heavy, just a small train which was perfect for me, I felt like a queen. My flowers were beyond expectation, a beautiful big bouquet of red roses (to match my hair) with a few white ones scattered through.”

“Firstly it was decided that we would elope just the two of us as we don’t like the “drama” that seems to be associated with weddings, and also we just wanted something quiet but when my parents found out what we were thinking we decided it best to still elope in a sense but only invite immediate family and partners so we had 10 guests altogether. As a young girl I thought I always wanted a beach wedding so Mexico was our first choice, After looking into the requirements it was too hard and we just wanted simple and easy, USA was our next option and New York just seemed like the perfect choice.”

A Jewell House Wedding With A Vera Wang Bride In Pink

Today on Marry Me Ink I get to share with you Brittany and Marc’s gorgeous wedding from Sara of This Modern Love Photography that took place at The Jewell House in Georgia. They both wore brooches to remember their dogs that were no longer with them which is the cutest thing, ever.

I (Brittany) met Marc through a family friend when I went to watch my brother play softball. She took one look at me and said “Oh I know someone you have to meet.” She contacted me online, and so did he.. The rest is history.

We tried to insert our personalities into the day as much as we could. I opted for a pink wedding dress because I’ve never worn white ever and couldn’t envision myself in a “traditional” gown. When I was younger I thought I’d wear a gown with sleeves but as soon as I started getting tattooed I knew that strapless was the only way to go.
