A Punk Engagement Shoot at The Custard Factory – Rich & Louise [Tattoo Bride Blog]

These images are just too cool! When Samantha of Samantha J Photography sent me a link to this colourful engagement shoot, the first thing I noticed was how cute Louise & Rich were – seriously, it looked like they they totally loved their engagement shoot with Samantha.

How awesome is Louise’s hair? I love the colour!

When Louise & Rich booked me to photograph their wedding I was soooooo excited…it’s unreal!!

I was bowled over at the mention of halloween fancy dress at the reception, the wedding shoes having bats on them..
BUT when Rich mentioned he was possibly going to be covered in UV body paint during the evening I nearly fainted!!

So..I knew that their engagement shoot HAD to be different..it absolutely had to reflect their personalities & as I had recently done a fashion/bridal shoot at the Custard Factory in Birmingham…I just knew it was perfect.

So we headed off one Sunday & had a fantastic time… BOY I can’t wait to photograph their big day!!!!!

Seriously? Fancy dress? HECK YES! Boy I can’t wait for that wedding!
Big thanks to Samantha for sharing these gorgeous photos, and for Louise & Rich for sharing some of their secret peeps into how awesome their wedding is going to be!

Don’t forget to leave some love!

A Rustic Junkyard Trash The Dress Shoot – Jeanna [Tattooed Bride Blog]

Good evening! And welcome to this exciting trash the dress shoot that I discovered of Jeanna!
I was lucky to come across Jeanna on the So Tattooed forum (A place for tattooed lovelies, artists and businesses to discuss the wonders of ink) around a month ago and saw sneak peeks of these photos (Seriously.. wait till you see the rest!) taken by photographer Stephanie Rose.

A few emails were exchanged between myself, Stephanie & Jeanna and here we have it.. A gorgeous, rustic, junkyard trash the dress shoot!

I have gotten all of my tattoos in memorial of my best friend who died over 10 years ago. We were always with each other and were known as the JJ girls. So everything I have is just a constant reminder of her and to live each day to the fullest because you never know when it could be cut short. So I have a cross with smaller crosses coming off of it that represents her passing and the last gift I got from her (a cross bracelet), Easter lilies because those were her favorite flowers, a faceless angel with wings of fire because I believe she is my guardian angel and she was always firey :), a Dali inspired piano because we both played and Dali is one of my favorite artists.

A Phoenix because I believe in life after death, a 13 for the day she died, a 14 for the day she was born and a black widow sparrow with a green eye that represents her in death.

The shoot was a blast! We went to this awesome junk yard in Denton, TX that just has acres and acres of old cars and car parts. We both love vintage things, so we just trecked across the junkyard looking for cool things for me to take pictures with.

The shoot idea was actually an idea from my wedding photographer, Stephanie Rose. She had been wanting to do one, so I told her I was totally up for it!

I would TOTALLY recommend doing a trash the dress shoot! It is a fun way to get more use out your wedding dress after all!

A HUGE thank you for Stephanie & Jeanna for allowing to share their photos.. Just wait until you see all of Jeanna’s tattoos!

The Turquoise & Red Two Day Tattooed Wedding – Clint & Rae [The Tattooed Bride Blog]

These next two weeks on Marry Me Ink I will be featuring the wedding of Clint and Rae that lasted over two days! When Mike of Allebach Photography got in contact with me with a link to this wedding – just seeing day one of their wedding was enough!

I’m going to hand straight over to Rae to tell you all about her experience of choosing her wedding dress – I totally love this story!

Rachael, I am so honored you guys are featuring the wedding 😉 it truly was the best two days of my life and an unforgettable experience!
I want to tell you the story of my tattoo from the day I picked the dress out..

Ok so the day I went to pick out my Wedding Gown…. I was very nervous. I knew I would find the one dress for me but I was nervous because this was the first time any of my family would see my half sleeve. I had just finished it about 2 weeks prior. I was ready though for weeks wearing long sleeved shirts I needed it to be seen!
My grandmother who I call “Gram” is a traditional Italian woman. I didn’t want to upset her on this momentous day.

So i try on the first dress… No one said a word about the tattoo..
Then the second dress…
Finally the third dress and I hear “That dress looks great with your tattoo” My grandmother picked the dress.

Not only was I so happy with her reaction (and relieved), I absolutely fell in love with the dress and knew it was the one. I saw a tear from my mother and mother in law and in that moment knew that all would be alright. They accepted my artwork because they love me and all that is me, including my new tattoo.

Later at my bachelorette party I explained to my mother the meaning behind the tattoo..

The ship reminds me of my Gram and Pop helping me to sail in life (also Pop was a Sailor in the service)… The Birds are my dad and sister helping me fly away… The water is Clint, my husband, constantly around me in motion… My mother the anchor in my life and the rose has a very special meaning to her, lastly me… The mermaid with big fake boobs surrounded by the people that have truly impacted my life forever.

My mother and I cried that night. Now feeling elated with the tattoo and my own diverse nature I could be proud of my decision.

The wedding was a success but the tattoo made it unique and definable.

I love the story behind the tattoo and doesn’t it look gorgeous?!! Do leave some love for Mike who let me use the images of Clint & Rae’s special day!
Be sure to head back on Thursday next week to hear and see what awesomeness happened on day two of their wedding celebrations!

Red, White & Blue Bridal Inspiration Shoot [Tattooed Bride Blog]

LOOK AT THIS!!

When Jaye of Tux & Tales Photography sent this inspirational bridal shoot – I squealed in excitement! I got to meet Jaye this weekend at the Alternative Wedding Fair.
You would have seen these images already on Rock n’ Roll Bride back in August..

The shoot was styled on a shoestring budget. “I think it is a great way to show brides that they can have a fun and fab style with a little pocket change and a lot of elbow grease.” says Jaye.. Sat on the living room floor, feathers flying everywhere whilst her cat plays catch the feather with the hat styling!

Boo, their model, is a burlesque girl and did all her own hair and make-up too.
Do leave Jaye of Tux & Tales some love on how beautifully British this bridal shoot is!
