The Tattooed Wedding Of Bunny And Bear – Danyell & Paul

Today on Marry Me Ink, I get to share with you Danyell and Paul’s wedding that took place in Gretna Green at Water Gardens Wedding Venue earlier this year. You may remember their woodland engagement shoot last month and Daz Mack Photography was there to capture their day and it awesome – They had their pug Viggo there on the day too.

My tattoos did take a big part into my consideration when choosing a dress as I’m a plus size.  I wanted my back piece on show which Paul was doing for me as part of a wedding present (he’s an amazing tattoo artist @Watsonsith), so I wanted an open back and a tulle skirt, which I found. I went for ivory as I wanted the whole romantic look – everyone thought I’d wear a colour which I was tempted to do dark grey but my sister helped sway me to the ivory which I’m thankful for.

We have a few couples’ tattoos and will no doubt get more in the future as we’re  in the industry it’s a no brainier that we’ll get more, be it for more pets or kids  – just our growing family and love for each other.

A Crisp Morning Cemetery Engagement Session – Jasmine & Nick

Today on Marry Me Ink ,I get to share with you this beautiful crisp morning engagement shoot from Kelley Deal Photography that took place in a cemetery – Cool, right?! Based in North Carolina, Kelley loves weddings, laughs and being outside which is definitely shown through Jasmine and Nick’s engagement shoot.

Let me tell you a few immediate fun facts about these two:
1. Her ring came from a pawn shop.
2. They have a series of matching tattoos already.
3. They chose a cemetery for their engagement photos.

“These guys have the coolest vibe and were so awesome at being themselves in front of the camera – no easy task.  One of my favorite engagement shoots AND locations, I can only imagine what their wedding will be like!”

How cute are Jasmine and Nick?! I can’t wait to see their wedding! Be sure to check out the rest of their engagement shoot below – Thank you to Kelley Deal Photography for sharing with Marry Me Ink.

An Intimate Cardiff City Wedding – Beth & Drew

Today on Marry Me Ink, I get to share with you Beth and Drew’s wedding from Elaine Willams Photography. They cancelled their “big traditional wedding” (after sending out 90 invites) and changed it to a small afternoon ceremony with just 15 close family members.

“Everything was getting out of hand, suddenly it was about the flowers and the bridesmaids, the cars, the seating plan and not about us.”

We met on my 23 rd birthday night out in a bar called Full Moon. I was supposed to be going out for posh cocktails with the girls but half way through the night we jacked it in to go to our favourite rock bar (in our over the top cocktail dresses). We were the only ones in high heels and dresses in a sea of black t-shirts and  jeans. I saw Drew walking down to the bar, smiled at him and the next thing I knew he came right up to me and said “do you fancy me? Are you single? Why aren’t we kissing yet?” A few hours later one of my best friends dragged me off him saying “He’s just a walking beard Beth. You’re not gonna marry him, and I need a McDonald’s. let’s go”… She made a point of telling everyone that at our wedding party!

There was no specific theme or dress code for the wedding, everything was so relaxed. When people asked what suits or dresses to wear we just said “come as you are and as you like”. Drew got suited and booted and I went for the big, Princess wedding dress because it was fun to do, and everyone else came in whatever suit they pleased. I think the fact that it was relaxed represented us. It
wasn’t about flowers or details, it was about us getting married.

We had an afternoon ceremony followed by Afternoon Tea at Park Plaza, it was all over by 6.30pm – there were so many magical moments during the day but I think the highlight was getting to spend the whole evening together. We got changed into our normal clothes, bought a bottle of gin then headed into town to drink and dance! It felt so personal and private, rather than spending the day entertaining hundreds of people we got to be with each other and that was perfect.

If You Go Down To The Woods Today – Danyell & Paul’s Engagement Shoot

Today on Marry Me Ink I get to share with you this beautiful woodland engagement shoot from Daz Mack Photography.

We’ve been together for nearly 4 years  first 2 long distance as im from Edinburgh, Pauls from Stockton, the other 2 years have been together in Middlesbrough.

I had saw a picture of Paul on Instagram on sick  plugs page which we both followed he was posing with his storm trooper plugs in and I liked the look of him (his big beautiful eyes) so I had to check his profile out. He had on there that he was an artist and that he did commissions. As I’m pretty outgoing and confident I thought I’d get in touch and get him to draw me something.

I requested Vincent Price with a haunted house and a evil nurse from the silent hill game. We quickly became friendly which then in turn turned flirty, I received my commission which I still love to this day.
We kept in touch texting every day. At first Paul was hesitant to make things go further due to the long distance between us. Him in Stockton and myself in Edinburgh two different countries.

A Short time passed and I gave him an ultimatum as I really liked him and I wanted to be more and didn’t want to waste my time so I Said I can’t wait forever.I then was asked on a couple of dates with another guy. Which made me feel that all I wanted to be, was with Paul. As we continued to talk during this he knew I was on these dates which made him step up and take the leap of trying a long distance relationship with me. (Some people call it jealousy I think he just realised what he could of lost.) A month past and then in December 2013, He drove up to Edinburgh to see me. As I’m old fashioned, which he already knew from various conversations we had previously if he wanted me to be his girlfriend he had to ask me. Which he did after less than an hour in my flat. Then the long distance love rollercoaster began. We are very romantic to each other making our own cards or presents for each other for anniversaries and just being thoughtful and caring.

Paul is a talented and hard working tattooist @watsonsith and our life is focused around this as its what he loves and I support and help him in his success. He’s my Bear and I’m his Bunny (like the masks) we both have our bunny and bear tattoos for each other too.

How beautiful is this enagagement shoot? I can’t to share with you their wedding which will also be on the blog next week – Make sure you pop back to see it in all it’s glory – It’s an good one! Thanks to both Danyell, Paul and Daz Mack Photography for sharing with Marry Me Ink today.
