A Dark Souls, Friday The 13th Wedding – Stephanie & Larry

I adore a bride in a black wedding dress and Stephanie looks incredible in hers from Eric Dress. They exchanged vows and partied at Old Rock Church in Utah with their friends and family which was filled with gorgeous paper flowers which they handmade out of old anatomy books and they had Convincing Imaging there to capture their day.

We met trough a mutual friend in high school. His friend Andy had recently moved to my home town of Malad Idaho, and Larry (my husband) came up to visit him. I was on my way to cheer practice when we stopped at Thomas Market, the local grocery store to pick up some drinks. They pulled in at the same time and that’s when we met. The first words I ever said to him were, “get in the cart b****!” And I proceeded to push him through the parking lot and almost ran him into a car. Later that night, after the football game, we hung out that’s when he kissed me. We told each other that we loved each other that night.

We based our entire wedding off of our favorite video games, Dark Souls, so the whole wedding was a representation of us and what we love to do as a couple. Gaming is a really big part of our lives and those games in particular have a very special place in our hearts.

A Boutique And Glamourous 1920s LA Wedding – Stephanie & Jonas

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Who got engaged over the winter break? I’d love to hear your stories and see you beautiful rings.. Make sure you go and share them over on the Marry Me Ink Facebook page!

Today on Marry Me Ink, I get to share with you Stephanie and Jonas’ LA wedding at Culver City Hotel, full of 1920s glamour, from Steve Cowell Photo.

We met each other at a hockey game. My roommate (Chelsea) at the time had tickets to go see the LA Kings play and her date fell through at the last minute so I decided to join her. She befriended my future husband in line while ordering beer and the rest was history, and ironically we both were wearing long sleeves the whole night and didn’t know until we became Instagram “friends” the next day how tattooed we both really were.

The whole wedding was pretty much DIY. I didn’t want a wedding planner – I wanted it to be my own and even if things didn’t turn out perfect I was okay with that because it was something that I created with love and from my heart. I knew I wanted it to be 20’s themed with a touch of that Gatsby glamorous feel so I really stuck to that idea, almost everything was hand made or customized. Every single detail was thought of, almost like putting a puzzle together, every piece just fit so it was really neat seeing that vision come to life.

A Musical, Alice In Wonderland Wedding – Alpha & Catherine

It’s Christmas week! To celebrate the run up to the holidays I thought I’d start with a beautiful summer wedding from Velvet Storm Photography from earlier this year. Alpha and Cat were married at Deans Place Hotel in East Sussex and had a fun and family filled day of celebrations.

We met through mutual friends. It was funny because we both had the same friends for years but had never crossed each other’s paths, even though we both worked within the same industry (Alpha as a DJ and Catherine as a club promoter). Anyways about five years ago Alpha dated one of Friends. Thankfully it didn’t work out but it meant that we got to know each other a little during that time. About a year later we bumped into each other outside a nightclub, had a drunken conversation about deleting each other from Facebook which Cath is still mortified about. Alpha then re-added Cath later that night when she went home and as they say the rest is history.

Well we had an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding as were a bit theatrical ourselves. We wanted big bright colours, topsy-turvy decorations, and entertainment that continued throughout the day. Were not traditional people however we have traditional beliefs of marriage. The ceremony was very elegant (until dropped the rings and Alpha cursed lol) with a live saxophone list, but that’s where the tradition stopped. With both of us working in the entertainment industry we really wanted to put on a show that all of our guests would never forget. From a flash mob of Irish dancers, to singing waiters, to fire poi, we kept everybody on their toes all night. We wanted to look back at our wedding and say it was the biggest and best party we had ever been to and we definitely succeeded in achieving that.

Happy November! As much as I love Christmas, I still want all the Pumpkin Spice everything!

Today on Marry Me Ink, I get to share with you Alice and Chris’ strawberry and 80s New Wave and Rock themed wedding from Bri Johnson Photography at Bridgewater Manor.

We both met on a dating site actually, not very romantic at all, but we did talk over the phone for a week or two and I can say it was definitely love at first sight. I’ve barely spent a day away from him since we’ve met.

Our strawberry theme was definitely all for me, but our music selection for the DJ was all 80s new wave and rock and everyone loved it as well! I actually planned the whole wedding myself, down to every detail. Picking out the save the dates and invitation was the best – I loved seeing our names and wedding date in print on strawberry invitations!
