We first met back in 2006 when my friend introduced us and Gary (Brownie) did my first ever tattoo. We didn’t cross paths again until 2008 when I came to Sheffield to study Graphic Design at University. We arranged our first date and have been together ever since! It was like we had known each other for years.

We wanted to try and hand make as much at our wedding as possible, which was really hard but with us both being creative people it felt important to add our own personal touches. I had little mini easels for the table numbers to show our artistic side. The Tea light holders and bunting were made by my amazing Grandma and Mum. I designed and hand printed all the invites and stationery including the signs and table plan. And for favours, my Mum made baileys flavoured cupcakes for everyone.

A Backyard Wedding In Fontana – Corrina & Brian

CorinnBrianMMI_3224

Today I get to share with you gorgeous grey haired and tattooed bride Corrina and her military groom Brian and their backyard wedding day from Valerie Ronin Photography. Corrina has a gorgeous 50s vibe to her hair and I think she looks absolutely stunning! Also – How great does Brian look in his uniform? Their day was filled with thrift store teacups, mason jars, DIY wedding favours and gorgeous cake!

Brian and I met through his sister at a party in 2007 where he was on leave from his army duties. Well that night Brian decided to dump nachos on my head in the middle of a conversation me and his sister were having.. WHY?!! I have no idea, nor does he or anyone at the party. I was super angry but after 2 minutes we all laughed and continued to party. After that night, we all became close friends through the years.

In 2013, I needed a plus one to my friends’ wedding so I asked Brian to be my plus one and he said yes. We just started hanging out a lot more and texting on a daily basis (lots of flirting) and  July 4th at a pool  party, and pretty wasted on fireball whiskey, (that’s our “drink”) we kissed and now are married. So 7 years of friendship, 1 year of us and many more to come. I really honestly married one of my best friends!!!

We met at a rock pub in Manchester through friends. As we lived two hours away from each other, we worked very hard to make sure we saw each other – sometimes only for a night a week.

Today I get to share with you a favourite wedding of mine from Wisconsin wedding photographer Megan Yanz Photography. Megan sent me Chrissy & Jesse’s wedding and I wanted it to be the first of 2015 due to it being so awesome! Chrissy’s tattoos look gorgeous and she did her hair and make-up herself. I love her hairpiece!

We met in our church youth group when we were both in middle school, and we became close friends in early high school. However, we didn’t start dating until the summer after I graduated from high school and Jesse finished his first year of college. We were on a church trip in a tiny town called Axtel, Nebraska, and Jesse’s sister, Kelly, was my roommate. She told me that Jesse had a crush on me, but he was never going to do anything about it. So one night, I just kissed him. Two days later he asked me to be his girlfriend when I came to visit him at work. The rest is history.

It was incredible and so, so special to have so many of our friends and family with us on our big day. Plus, my little brother, Cody, gave a hilarious one word speech. He stood up, buttoned a button on his tux, fixed his collar, and then just said, “Hodor” into the microphone (Game of Thrones fans will get this reference). It was so funny, and I will never forget it.
