The Story Of Two Triangles – Kelly & Kevin

MChuaMarianne Chua Photography- Kevin Kelly_0076

Today I get to share with you one the cutest love stories that Marry Me Ink has received this year from Marianne Chua Photography. (I may have said “Awwww!” out loud reading it)

We were best friends for a few years before we had even considered each other in any other way. We worked together in the same company – I was the photographer & Videographer and he is the Web Programmer. We ended up working together a bit, and we spent a lot of time together, at work and off.

We had a mutual friend in Texas, and while I was on vacation there, she asked me what I thought about him. I had never really thought about anything, and would simply be with him and have fun. After she asked me that, I really took a look at what we had together and didn’t realize what an incredible relationship we had as friends and how he made me feel, until I really looked back at it and realized that he was everything I had ever wanted in a guy.

We are so open with each other, it was impossible for me to keep it to myself. I ended up writing a letter to him, because I felt like if I told him about it in person I would spontaneously combust. I basically poured out my feelings on that piece of paper, and expected for the worst. We got together that night and decided to talk about it, and he decided to tell me a few things from his own end.

Apparently he had been interested in the very beginning when we first met, but he kept losing his opportunities when I would go chasing after a guy or getting into a relationship. We both had a very deep conversation that ended up going into the wee hours of the night. He had told me that I was his favourite girl and his best friend, and really opened up to me like he never had before. I had to keep pinching myself, because I felt like I was reading one of those novels where everything goes exactly how you want it to. Funny enough, by the end of the night we decided not to take that route with each other because we both treasured the friendship we had, and we didn’t want to ruin it.

After opening up about our feelings, we couldn’t help but feel an extra spark between us that had come to life and it was extremely distracting. Finally one night, past midnight we went up to the roof of a building and were talking about some personal things in our lives and just confiding in each other, kind of back to the normal with each other. I then couldn’t help but think about how incredibly romantic it would be to kiss him on the rooftop under the moon and clouds. When it got to late, we started walking back to go downstairs, and I couldn’t help but feel so disappointed. I decided, we were really meant to be friends, and I shouldn’t try to turn it into something else.

We started going down this stairwell, with him walking in front of me, and after a few flights, he stopped at one of the landings and turned around. I was actually confused and thought he forgot something upstairs, but then he was just looking at me. I was so close to him, I couldn’t help but feel uncertain of what I should do and what was happening. And then after a second, he pulled me into him and kissed me. I swear that moment was magical, because in that first kiss, I felt like I lived an eternity and yet time didn’t exist, and the universe around me quieted and disappeared, and there was no such thing as anything else…and that’s when it all began.

A Merrill Farm Wedding In Maine – Sarah & Dana

TattooedWeddingPhotographerYaritzaColon-1020

How is it November already? I mean seriously.. We’ll all be Instagramming our Christmas trees soon!

This afternoon on Marry Me Ink, I get to share Sarah and Dana’s beautiful barn wedding from Yaritza Colòn Photography that took place at Merrill Farm in Maine.

Dana saw me at a show and asked his friends who I was, found me online, and asked me if I wanted to hang out. We lived in the same city and knew a lot of the same people so it wasn’t as weird as it might sound!

I don’t even know where to begin. The whole day was amazing. I think my favourite part of the day was seeing everyone we love when I walked down the aisle with my dad, and of course seeing Dana melt when he saw me in my dress.

I’m a little OCD about what clothing “goes with” my tattoos and what doesn’t. With this in mind, I knew I wanted something strapless so my sleeve wouldn’t be covered partially/at all. Other than that, white pretty much goes with everything, right?

A Classic Purple Wedding With A Gorgeous Elephant Tattoo – Katy & Gary

MMI_2598

Today I get to share with you the classic church, ivory and purple (which is Gary’s favourite colour) wedding followed by a reception at a bar in Southampton with photography from Doublefrisson Photography and DJ Services.

Me and Gary were talking via an online dating site. We were speaking non stop throughout the day and late at night for two days before meeting at his tattoo studio for the first time. We just clicked with each other, it was all so easy, there was never any struggle to think of things to talk about and we made each other laugh a lot. It felt right for us to meet up. We were inseparable from day 1, we just fit.

“There was no awkwardness like we had both experienced in previous relationships, it felt like we had always known each other.”

After only six months, Gary proposed to me at the end of a nice evening out together. There was no hesitation or doubt in my head. Our families and close friends weren’t surprised by our quick engagement, we are always told how natural we are together and everyone can see the love we have for each other. New people that we meet always assume that we have been together for years! I also have two children from a previous relationship and they took to Gary as quickly as I did, as Gary did to them too. Everything worked out perfectly. Ten months after Gary proposed, was our wedding.
