A Laid Back And Intimate Wedding – Jaci & Craig

“The wedding day was awesome, and we had a great time; but the highlight was definitely the group sing-along to “Bohemian Rhapsody,” or maybe the sing-along to “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” They both made me pretty happy.”

Today I have another gorgeous wedding from one of my favourite photographers Allebach Photography. Jaci & Craig were married at iCi Restaurant in Brooklyn.

We really wanted our wedding to be fun for us and for our guests. We wanted everyone to feel relaxed, which we tried to achieve by keeping the guest list intimate and by incorporating things we like. For example, we had the Back to the Future theme as our recessional (something we have enjoyed together and with our friends throughout the years), we had alligator cake toppers (our college mascot), and a family-style meal with people sitting together at long tables so everyone could really mingle together. A Bride In Red – Adele & Anthony

“I’ve know ever since I was a little girl I wanted to get married in red dress, but unfortunately my taste was not shared by many bridal shops, apart from one.”

Today I get to share with you Adele – a beautiful bride who decided to wear red on her wedding day, with thanks to The Couture Company who created such a gorgeous dress and with fantastic images from Ben Fones Photography.

“We like to think that the whole wedding was relaxed, full of laughter with family and friends, but with our own little twist on tradition. This is just like our lives!”

It was the most important thing to me that my tattoos had to be on display (much to my mum’s dismay) if they could not be incorporated into the design of the dress they must be shown off. I converted my Mom in the end proving body art can be just as beautiful as the dress you wear; you just have to find the perfect one.

I was told about The Couture Company from a friend who was also getting married, I did not hold out much hope as I had been disappointed before. But boy was I so wrong!!! As soon as I walked through the door I knew I’d get my dress from here!! Jo and her team were so lovely and laid back which made me relax and completely trust them to create the dress of my dreams, and she didn’t disappoint, Jo has a fantastic ability to pick the idea out your head and make it a reality. I didn’t want to take my dress off on my wedding day, it was so beautiful, and beauty should not be hidden in a wardrobe, so I have had mine framed and hung on my lounge wall for to see!

A Lewes Castle Wedding – Marion & Rob

“The whole wedding represented us perfectly.. No stress just relaxed, not too much structure to the day and just about people having a really fun day!”

Today I get to introduce you to another gorgeous couple – Marion and Rob. With wonderful photography from Tino & Pip Photography, their wedding took place at Lewes Castle with the after party at The Ginger Fox pub.

Marion & Rob met through mutual friends on a night out..

We kept in touch after that night but our first date wasn’t till a couple of weeks later when rob invited me a to another mutual friends wedding… He did promise to buy me a dress for it but never did.. To make up for it he surprise me at work a couple of days later with a gorgeous pair of KG shoes! This totally won me over! Continue reading →

A Magic Gardens Wedding – Anne & Derek

“I never really think about my tattoos when I’m dressing, since they are a part of me and who I am. I never considered covering them.”

Today I get to share with you Anne & Derek’s colourful wedding that took place in the breathtaking Magic Gardens in Philadelphia, which stunning photography from Mike of Allebach Photography.

“We began as friends who worked together as producers in the independent film industry.”

After working together on a few projects we became business partners, along with 3 of our friends, and together started Double Windsor Films. We worked so much that our work life eventually turned into our social life. We enjoyed each other’s company, loved talking about food, cooking, and eating, and exchanging our horrible dating experiences with each other and one day asked ourselves, why aren’t we dating? Once we both let our guards down, we fell madly in love with each other and here we are today, happily married.

I tried to customize the entire wedding to represent us as a couple. The venue had so much character and was so unique and strange at the same time and I think that describes us a lot. It had a very relaxed atmosphere and that is what we were going for. We didn’t want a fancy over the top parade of traditional wedding traditions. I wanted the vow exchange to be the only traditional factor, after that it was just a fun relaxed party. I didn’t want to tell people when to eat or drink or where to stand and wait. I just wanted everyone to enjoy the venue and have a blast.
