A Dance Filled And Fun Wedding In Stafford – Becky & Simon

Ragdoll Photography (55 of 85)

Today’s bride and groom have matching tattoos and a love for the dance floor. Becky and Simon were married at countryside Grade II listed building Weston Hall accompanied by their friends and family, complete with Staffordshire wedding photographer Ragdoll Photography.

I met Simon in Tenerife in 2008. We were both on holiday with our friends. Simon caught my eye as we were dressed up as cow girls and Simon had the obligatory check shirt to match. I went over to ask for a picture with him, we got chatting and as they say ‘the rest was history!’. (I did however get his name wrong the first few days of us meeting as after first trying to convince me he was the bass player from Noah and the Whale (don’t worry – I didn’t fall for it!) he then introduced himself by his nickname Cully, to which I in a drunken haze heard Colin!)

Our day was based about being relaxed with a vintage/music twist. Our invites and seating plans were album covers based around The Beatles Hard Days Night LP, we had a love heart canvas made of plectrums for people to sign instead of a guestbook, song sheet music as part of our table decorations and not to forget my secret love heart, bass clef tattoo. Simon plays the bass in a band. We kept it vintage with our beautiful camper and minis and I had a 50’s style dress made.

A Halloween Themed Wedding With Cats – Fran & Lewis

FranLewisAssassynation-10386

Today on Marry Me Ink I get to share with you tattooed bride Fran and Lewis’ Halloween wedding and handfasting from favourite Assassynation Photography. Fran wore a stunning Couture Company leopard print dress and then everyone went back home for a  movie and pizza – PERFECT!

How did we meet.. The gym (I told my best friend I was going to marry him and have his babies). We wouldn’t speak to each other there so I messaged him on POF. We spoke for months then arranged a date to take our dogs for a walk. We went to Cannock chase for our first date – a popular place for dogging at night time (We tell everyone we went dogging on the chase for our first date!!)

Everything represented us at the wedding. My heartagram on the belt and Lewis tattoo heartagram on his wedding Finger. Our favourite band had to be in there somewhere. Having the cats there was so important to us. And watching Pet Semetary at home with pizza really represented us as a couple. Everything we did was completely us.

A Video Game Wedding Between Two Rockers – Abby & Reid

AbbyReid16

Today’s tattooed bride and groom is Abby and Reid who had a short and sweet wedding ceremony but then rocked the night away at their awesome gig venue The Bell House in Brooklyn, NY with photography from Justine Johnson Photography. They both met prior to a video game convention online.. Seriously their story is awesome.

AbbyReid1

We met volunteering at a video game convention called PAX — Reid is from Seattle originally, and I’m from Los Angeles. We started chatting online in the volunteer chat room, and became really good long-distance friends. We had mutual interests in punk music, art, and video games. Reid finished grad school, moved to New York to start a job in physics… and then we decided to date because our mutual attraction was too strong! I was still finishing school in Los Angeles, so through video games, chatting and visits, we managed to do long distance for 2.5 years.

We did this wedding all on our own so basically everything from the venue (a music venue in Brooklyn called The Bell House) to the music (we played all sorts of punk during our cocktail hour) to our Street Fighter cake toppers were 100% us! We also had a fuss-free reception with our favorite Cambodian sandwiches, along with cupcakes. You can hold all of these while dancing.

We made 90% of our decorations, including the bouquets and boutonnières. The most fun was the PVC pipe trellis (cut in the snow!) The trellis was decorated with handmade tassels and then jerryrigged by someone who is very good with knots.

I didn’t have the tattoo when I searched for dresses, but I knew something was going to be on my arm. I definitely wanted something with either no or short sleeves.

A Foggy And Magical Nature Reserve Israel Wedding – Alex & Ariel

Today on Marry Me Ink I get to share with you tattooed bride Alex and husband Ariel’s wedding celebrations. They decided to have their amazing reception at Neot Kedumim Nature Reserve ten days after their official ceremony where the awesome Gamba Photographers caught everything beautifully – including their adorable dogs! Bride Alex also purchased her gorgeous dress from Marry Me Ink’s favourite online fashion store ModCloth.

Ariel and I met through mutual friends, we had been talking on the phone for a while and went on a first date to a bar in 2010, got drunk and woke up the next morning. We have been together ever since.

The clothes we chose to wear represented us as a couple – the wedding dresses were both under $100, and the groom’s suit is all vintage pieces that we collected at the Kensington Market at Toronto. Everything is unique and simple, not too flashy and over the top just clean and simple.
