A Simply Glamorous Marina Village Wedding – Robin & LaCreelin

Today on Marry Me Ink I get to share with you Robin and her wife LaCreelin’s wedding that took place at Marina Village in San Diego. It was a gorgeous backdrop for their wedding day which was captured by Alicia Jeanne Photography.

LaCreelin and I met while working together in an after school program. When I saw her I knew that I had to know her and once I did I was head over heels for her.

Our wedding was a huge dance party and was very detail specific. There was a perfect mix of glam and simplicity that is both of us. The music was hand picked by the both of us. The most fun parts of the details to do was decorating our head table where we had pictures of our family.

Both of us opted to show off our tattoos on the day by picking sleeveless dresses from David’s Bridal – We both also have each other’s names tattooed as well as Mickey Mouse hats with the number 13 in them

A Rock & Roll Bridal Shoot Up North – The Bridal Emporium

Tim Dunk Photography

Today on Marry Me Ink I get to share with you this epic bridal shoot complete with Yorkshire elements along with the rock and roll edge. Styled by The Bridal Emporium – A Leeds based bridal shop celebrating all the wonderful British designers that bring you all your glamorous vintage and boho bridal style gowns and Yorkshire Menswear providing the slick suits for the groom.

Owner of The Bridal Emporium in Leeds, Claire Amelia, is thrilled to show off the latest pictures from the rock’n’roll wedding photo-shoot that was set at New Craven Hall in April, 2017. Embracing a very Northern theme, the set was filled with elements of a rustic-nature feel, along with a typical feature of the Yorkshire greetings ‘Ey Up’.

The suppliers brought out the best of British with a number of Northern based participants. Including Tim Dunk, the wonderful photographer who oozes an immense amount of coolness within each frame, making the venue, New Craven Hall in Leeds, shine with an edgy retro feel. The chosen venue is a new industrial space, providing a trendy and blank area, perfect for pimping out to fit to any desired theme! An added touch of punk really aims to appeal to the tattoo market, along with the two models that were specifically chosen to compliment the Yorkshire rock look of the whole photo-shoot.

The models were fashioned with a simple, boho inspired style and the dresses were supplied by the amazing wedding dress designer, Eliza Jane Howell. The gowns fitted perfectly with the boho/vintage look, with sequined details that contrasted and added a softer detail to the whole setting. The accessories were provided by ourselves at The Bridal Emporium, gorgeous floral head wear and white punk heels complimented the female models, Kellie, body art. Byron, the male model, was styled with a more austere look to emphasise on the wedding gowns. The very talented make-up artist, Amanda, from Lipstick and Curls opted for deep purple-red lips which paired well with natural toned eyes.

A Cute Zoo And Aquarium Wedding On The Torquay Coast – Lucy & Steven

Today on Marry Me Ink I get to share with, quite possibly the cutest wedding ever featured on the blog. Lucy and Steven got married at Living Coasts – An awesome zoo and aquarium on the Torquay coast and had Memories and Milestones Photography there to capture it all in it’s glory – Even the time they spent with  the penguins!

Our whole theme of our wedding was very much rustic 50’s inspired – from vintage bridesmaids dresses, to our amazing Morris minor 1000 convertible taking us to our venue. It was so us! Our wedding favours were fake tattoos for our guests as we’re the only tattooed people in our families! The children who attended were covered by the end of the day!

We made our own save the date cards which were very vintage and original – these were so fun to make! We also made our own seating plan with vintage bunting and rope! our demi-john jar centrepieces we also made ourselves with rustic flowers for an extra vintage look!

I knew with my wedding dress would 100% have to be sleeveless as my tattoos are very much a big part of me as a person and I wanted to show that! Why hide a massive part of yourself especially on the biggest day of your life?!

A Leafy, Woodland Wedding – Tori & Ryan

Today on Marry Me Ink I get to share with you the woodland wedding of Tori and Ryan from Luna Photography – One of Marry Me Ink’s favourite East Midland photographers.

We actually met each other in a tattoo shop! I was getting tattooed by our good friend Drew (also one of the best men) and he had been late picking me up from the train station, he said sorry but his friend had called and held him up but he’d pop by the shop later so I could shout at him then! Fast forward an hour and in walks Ryan. I didn’t get chance to tell him off we were so busy chatting away, he even went out a bought me a cup of tea! Our tattooist Drew then slyly asks both of us individually in better words ‘if we like each other?’ And the answer was unanimous! Ryan stayed for the majority of the 8 hour tattoo but eventually had to leave to watch the football (I should have known then Football would be apart of my life!)

I was feeling a little sad on the way home that I didn’t get details on this gorgeous mans number when suddenly a friend request pops up on my phone and it’s him! We get chatting all night and then all day and all night for the next 6 months until I finally moved from Cardiff to Gloucestershire. The first moment I realised I loved Ryan was on valentines day! (we don’t even celebrate it!) but it was our first one together just under 4 months and we were dog sitting for a friend. I had spent all day making him a banoffee pie (his favourite and the only cake I can make!) and my mum was teasing me saying I was only doing it because I loved him! She was so right the look on his face when I had caught two trains to meet him without squishing it will stay with me forever.

Since we moved to the Forest of Dean in 2015 the woods have become our second home. We absolutely love long walks in the quiet with our German Shepherd Frankfurt so this was reflected in the details of the wedding. The wedding party itself was small and intimate. We’re not flashy and we just wanted to spend the day with our close family and friends (36 of us in all!) rather than make a show and dance of everything! We just really enjoy the quiet laugh and wanted everyone to be a part of the day.
