morales (334)

Today on Marry Me Ink, I get to share tattooed bride Jaclyn and husband Joseph’s intimate chapel wedding from Tara O. Photos – the fab vintage pin up photographer.

We first saw each other on Instagram. We started by dropping comments and likes on each other’s photos. Then a few weeks later we started chatting through DM. We continued talking every day for a few months, we would talk about everything from our favourite snacks to our goals in life. Our conversations lasted all night until one of us fell asleep. After that we knew we had to meet in person. From that moment on we knew it was forever!

Our wedding was held at a Spanish style chapel that had a very vintage feel, along with a day of the dead themed cake. I had wedding cake themed bridal shoes and a Spanish inspired headdress. They were the bits that represented us as a couple.

A Victorian Carnival Wedding Weeking Part II – Jo & Leigh

DSC_5980

You may remember that I eventually got round to blogging the first half of Jo and Leigh’s carnival wedding a few weeks ago. The ultimate tattooed bride Miss Jo Black got married last year and, in the run up, blogged for Marry Me Ink with all her planning details. Jo and her husband Leigh decided to split their wedding celebrations over two days – One day for the legal part with their very closest family and the second day celebrating with all of their friends. Today I get to share with you Jo and Leigh’s second day of celebrations from photographer Matthew Harris Photo.

We decided to have a Victorian Carnival theme at the reception, a sort of freak show and circus vibe because we are far from normal people, and we wanted to just feel as comfortable as possible on our wedding day! Everything was also black and gold which looked amazing!

I basically hand made everything decoration wise, roped my sister in law, bridesmaids and my mother in to a lot of making bunting and pompoms, hand painting signs and decorating our own cakes! Being an artist I really wanted to have as much input into the design elements of the day as possible. I kept a lot of it secret from Leigh, I wanted him to be wowed on the day! Everything was in black and gold, the best part of it for me was doing the cakes, we had so much fun and they looked amazing!

A Boho Chic Wedding In Austria – Lisa & Christoph

LuC_0167

Today on Marry Me Ink, tattooed bride Lisa married Christoph at a gorgeous historic church in Salzburg, Austria and went on to celebrate at Vitalhotel Gosau. They celebrated my friends and family and had the wonderful Photo-Melanie there to capture their special day.

Christoph and I first met in a bar – I’d never thought I’ll meet a man I’ll marry once. It was a really amusing night with lots of drinks and dancing. When he finally came to talk to me I was a little bit nervous – I liked how he looked like on this evening.

As for DIY elements – I did everything by myself. Nobody was allowed to help me because I wanted everything perfect.

The highlight of the day was our baby girl who was a surprise for my husband in the church – she came in with an old Wagon. She held the box with the rings in it in her tiny hands, she was so cute.

The part that represented us a couple was the big party all day long. If we had any advice for other couples getting married – JUST ROCK IT!

A Hard Rock Hotel, Las Vegas Wedding – Tabitha & Eric

T&E-177

Today on Marry Me Ink, tattooed bride Tabitha and husband Eric had a retro feel to their wedding that took place at the House of Blues, Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. From Las Vegas wedding Photographer Jamie Y Phography – Tabitha and Eric went on to celebrate at their wedding after-party at The Bourban Room at The Venetian.

We met online on Hot or Not, an online dating site that you rate each others pictures (Before the days of Tinder!) – Back in the old days of MSN we decided to start chatting on there, we chatted for a couple of weeks and originally planned on just staying friends. He was an army boy who lived 9 hours away from me, but after getting along so well we decided on a mutual half way meeting place which was Barrie Ontario. We spent a weekend together and had an instant connection – He had me at Wendy’s burgers at 1am! 10 years later and one year married, dropping my life for some army boy was the best choice I could have made!

T&E-200

We are big into being relaxed and having fun and we love music! Our ceremony took place outdoors in a garden setting, Our choice of restaurant was The House of Blues which was a laid back music venue with a good selection of normal foods, not that fancy stuff no one can pronounce and the afterparty was at The Bourban Room, the announcer is dressed as an 80’s hairband guy, and they play old rock and roll. The style I went for myself and my bridesmaids was rockabilly/pinup, which is something I am very into and have always admired. From the laid back outdoor ceremony, to the relaxed dinner for 15 and afterparty hearing nothing but rock and roll, all those things represented us to a T.
