A Tambourine And A Couple Of Masks – Nathan & Heidi [Tattooed Bride Blog]

Oh my word!! Look at these two would you?!! HOW FLIPPIN’ CUTE?!! Seriously when I came across Made U Look Photography – I straight away contacted them ad Christina practically replied straight away!

I love every thing about this couple! From the face masks to Nathan’s Bowie tee (EPIC!) to Heidi casually carrying a tambourine!

Heidi’s skull tattoo is gorgeous!! (I can see another tattoo being added to my ever growing list!)

Here is what I was told about the couple (Who get married in the summer):

Heidi & the Nate Dogg are so dang quirky, laid back & full of life!!! We just loved hanging out with them & capturing their love & all of the things they love.
These two couldn’t be more perfect for each other!! They are both just as charming as ever, & possess such mega happy vibes & love for all of the good things in life!

Photographing their love in the golden summer sunshine was so inspiring & left us feeling over the moon!

OOOOHHHH how we love, love, love, love, love them & hope you guys also enjoy this little peek into their radical life! & OMG, we are soooo stoked about their UH-freaking-mazing wedding in the works for 2012!!! Eeeeeeeeeeee!

These pictures are just so lovely! Both of their tattoos are just so colourful! Especially Heidi’s thigh peice!
Do leave some love for the Made U Look Photography team &, of course, for Nathan & Heidi! – Rach.XX

Marry Me Ink Hits Manchester! [Tattooed Bride Blog]

So here they are – FINALLY! I’ve been SOOOOO excited about sharing this shoot with you!

It all started out with a little message from Andrea Ellison Photography with regards to a wedding she’s recently done featuring a lovely tattooed bride (To be coming up on the blog soon!) as to if I could use her images.. More messages were exchanged and I was asked if I ever wanted to do a shoot for the Marry Me Ink site – She’s be up for doing so.

As you know – I was SO up for that! Details were exchanged and I was informed that we’d also be joined by Claire Penn Photography, Maria Bentley of Studio 1208 AND Victoria Thomas Make Up (The most fantastic/crazy/pink haired lady you ever did see!)

HA! Isn’t Victoria just fantastical?! After setting a date of when – it was a case of what themes, where the hell to get a dress and where to do all the shots. All being Northern lasses, Manchester was our central point and their Northern Quarter is TOO funky not to shoot in! Being a HUGE Afflecks Palace advocate, where better for me to parade around in a dress, no?!!

I didn’t need to look far for a dress – Kate Youdale of The Party Frock kindly offered to make me a dress.. Yes, that’s right – MAKE!! LOTS of tulle, in many colours – Ivory, royal blue & emerald green!

The epic spotty shoes are my own – Irregular Choice of course! As for hair accessories.. Anissa Lee offered to give her helping hand in providing some epic hair pieces, including a massive bow and a cute top hat! The sugar skull fascinator was supplied the wonderful Diablo Jo’s Rockabilly Accessories (which I may add – they have been kind enough to let me keep!). The gorgeous skully nesting doll necklace & ring were provided by the very talented Dolly Cool.
I seriously cannot thank everyone enough for all of their time and effort into making these items and letting us use them for the shoot.

From drinking tea in the cafe to being bombarded by the public’s own tattoos & cameras – Manchester sure was tonnes of fun! And here it is again – a huge, HUGE thank you to everyone involved!

Do leave Andrea, Claire & Maria big love for their images they provided me with and for Victoria, Kate, Anissa, Diablo Jo’s, Afflecks Palace and Dolly Cool for being so generous with their time and supplies! – BIG LOVE! – Rach.XX

Inky Boudoir [Tattooed Bride Blog]

Today I bring to Marry Me Ink, a stunning boudoir shoot from the wonderful Billingham Photography.

When I came across Adrian & Cat’s pictures of Gemma,  I was so excited! Boudoir is definitely a great gift to surprise your OH with pre-wedding, post wedding, for an an anniversary, oh hell, you don’t need an excuse! I see it as a great way to get to show off all of those tattoos!

My favourite is Gemma’s chest piece.. I have one in mind scrawled on a to do list somewhere..

“This is Gemma, she was recently tattooed in this shoot, she had developed a bug’ for ink with the intention of further adding to her designs.
This ‘boudoir’ style shoot took place in Gemma’s home which was minimalist with amazing natural light filtering through the windows, the neutral tones were the perfect background to show the fiery red hair combined with the amazing tattoos, the ‘No Regrets’ tattoo on her forearm was the exact way she felt about her new love of ink.
We really enjoyed this shoot as it is so far removed from what is ‘usual’ and expected in boudoir photography, tattooed women are so wonderful to photograph, Gemma was so confident with herself since having ink, she explained that it gave her new confidence after having her ‘daughter’. We offer boudoir shoots with a difference, we shoot in your own home or at a location of your choice, for more information on Boudoir shoots, contact us for individual quotes.
We also shoot weddings and are on the lookout for tattooed couples, check out our website for more information.”

Sheesh! How gorgeous is Gemma?!! Especially all of her intricate inkings! I spot another favourite.. The sugar skull!
Do leave Adrian, Cat & Gemma some love – They totally deserve it! – Rach.XX
