Today on Marry Me Ink, I get to introduce you to the wonderful girls at Paragon Floral Design who I had the amazing chance of working with earlier on this year at The Lyceum Theatre shoot in Crewe. They have also recently been including in Brides Magazine’s “Pretty List” – From their work, you can totally see why!

We are Paragon Floral Design. Founded by Lisa Holroyd and Kate Whelan, We have worked together for 10 years and decided it was time to branch out by ourselves. We love to work on Weddings and Event florals, our style is detailed and intricate, we love to construct and develop on traditional ideas.
What inspires your work?
EVERYTHING, craftwork, fabrics, architecture, other floral designers, natural architecture in leaves, bone structures, patterns in shells. We love texture and learning new techniques.
What are your favourite brides to work with?
People who are enthusiastic, excited and not ‘lost in the industry’, they are getting married for love and that’s the most important part of the day. Those people are fun, usually laid back and more open to adventure.
Today I get to introduce you to the wonderful Jodie, the creator of the fabulous designs of Acacia Floristry. Jodie’s designs include both fresh flowers and glittering brooch bouquets.
My name’s Jodie, I own Acacia and have been a florist for a very long time!
My love of the industry began when I started bunking off school to work on weddings midweek, (maybe it was the thrill of hiding under the work bench, every time a teacher came in the shop, that got me hooked)
I live on the border between Wiltshire and the Cotswolds with my hubby, two kids Liv and Jazy, and an evil black cat that hates me!
I’ve booked in for my first tattoo with my husbands artist, and for the first time ever I’m struggling with design, half the reason why I read Marry Me Ink!!
Today I get to share with you this great infographic from Simply Bridal about bridal bouquets, some of the most popular flowers used in these bouquets, what season these flowers will be available and what other flowers they’re great to bouquet up with!
My favourite flowers are Alstromeria – What’re yours? Also – Are you basing your wedding theme on your flowers? I’d love to hear about them!
As we are nearing the end of April, we hope that this month of showers will bring beautiful flowers next month. As the pollen levels rise and for those who will be living off anti-histamines the next few months and would prefer not to hold pollinating plants so close to themselves, I’ve got just the thing for you.
This week the SimplyBridal creative team has put together a list of great alternatives to the traditional flower bouquet. There are so many to choose from, which one is right for you?
Don’t forget that Marry Me Ink LOVE alternative bouquets.. Rebekah did a whole post featuring some gorgeous brooch bouquets as part of the Accessories Ahoy posts a while ago! Below is a gorgeous example of a glittering bouquet.
