Marry Me Ink gets to share with you this gorgeous, vintage and tattooed style bridal shoot as part of the Traveling Dress Project from Soft Elegance Photography.
The Travelling Dress Project is a collaborative project created by Gianella Simon from Minnesota. After purchasing this beautiful dress from a second hand store, Gianella had the brilliant idea to have it photographed by photographers from around the world and so the Traveling Dress Project was born.
The dress began its travels in September 2014 and is still travelling with an estimated end date of December 2015. By the end of its journey it will have travelled across the United States and made its way across Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and more with over a hundred photographers involved. Each photographer will have the opportunity to capture the dress in their own unique style and vision. The project will culminate with a book release sharing the journey the dress has made around the world. Proceeds will benefit Operation Smile! Operation Smile provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities for children around the globe.
We are incredibly lucky to be a part of such an amazing project which is bringing awareness to a very special cause, challenging creatives, and bringing international and local photographers together. When I saw this beautifully delicate lace wedding dress I just had to shoot it! In a beautiful field of greenery towards the outskirts of San Antonio was a tattooed beauty with a stylish mane in a delicate lace wedding dress. Peace and balance followed at her heels.
How great is this idea? I love the idea that one dress can be photographed so many different ways, with so many different models and styling. Don’t forget to check out The Traveling Dress Project Facebook page to check out the other captivating shoots this dress has been a part of. Thank you to Soft Elegance Photography for sharing the Traveling Dress Project with Marry Me Ink today.
