Dates For Your Diary! PART ONE

I hope you are having a fabulous week? Today I’ll be telling you all about TWO fabulous events happening this March for the tattooed and retro loving folk which I will be attending myself. Do come & say Hi!

Here is the first event:

That’s correct – EventCity, Phoenix Way (Right by the Trafford Centre!) will play host to THE most spectacular tattoo festival yet! And it’s only their first year!

Tattoo.TV, Tattoo Revolution and H2 Events have come together to form Tattoo Tea Party productions. We aim to produce a tattoo convention that pays homage to the talent and skill of UK based tattooing, provides unique, quality entertainment, and a fantastic atmosphere for all; hopefully taking a unique place alongside some of the other great conventions out there! Come take tattoos and tea with us!

The event will take place over a weekend and will be full of booths where you can get tattooed by some of the most fantastic artists around including The Drunken Sailor Tattoo Parlour and Empress Tattoo. (Two of my many favourites on the list) – Make sure you pre-book for work!

There is also entertainment throughout the days’ events and also a party on the Saturday night which will be headlined by Terrorvision!!!!! I’m SOOOOOO flippin’ excited!! As well as music, there will be stalls (including Clare from Dolly Cool) and other fun things such as an Anti Art School and a Gentlemen’s Death Match.

You can find all the details from location, accommodation & and purchase tickets here (which start at £15 for a day ticket or for the evening gig)

A Fun, Colourful, “KAPOW!” Engagement – Samy & Stephen [Tattooed Bride Blog]

This is one of my favourite engagement shoots I’ve posted on the blog so far! I saw these images previous to Zoe sending me a lovely message over on the Photos By Zoe blog where  Samy & Stephen look like they were having so much fun, despite nearly being blown away by the blustery conditions.

Unfortunately, Zoe won’t spill any details of their wedding apart from there being some fab spots around the venue they ave chosen. I can’t wait to see those images later on this year!
Samy & Stephen look like such a fun couple to be with, all the colourful tattoos, skate parks, Samy’s “Boing” necklace & Stephen’s exceptional pouting against the brickwork.

As for their tattoos, Samy tells me that Stephen is quite the addict, with both of his arms covered – one serious, one silly (I love the “KAPOW!” tattoo). One of his next tattoos is a dot-to-dog dragon, which Samy gets to colour in!
As for Samy herself, she is currently planning her first quarter sleeve for before the wedding but is currently finding it hard to find an artist that she likes.

SEE! Aren’t they sun a fun couple?!! Do take a look here through the photos, I can’t wait to see images of their wedding!

Do leave some love for photographer Zoe and for Samy & Stephen.
Also, if you have any tattooists that you like you could leave Samy a comment on who you like/who did yours. My personal favourite tattooists are Laura of Legends Tattoo Studio (She’s a good friend who designed and inked all of mine) and then there’s obviously Nic of Songbird Tattoo Studio.

Have a great week guys! – Rach.X

Haywood Jones Photography Part Deux – PHOTOGRAPHY GIVEAWAY!

So this week I’ve been sharing my love for Bethan at Haywood Jones Photography.
You can see the first half of the sharing  here of the fantastic Brighton shoot featuring the gorgeous Chi Chi Revolver.

Bethan contacted me a couple of weeks ago to put a fabulous idea forward.. To let all you tattooed lovelies have a chance of winning a FREE LOVE SHOOT with your other half/husband/fiance etc..

So.. The question is, what do you need to do for a chance to win this love shoot?

Firstly, Bethan is based in Birmingham, you have three possible locations for the shoot to take place.. Either Birmingham, London or Manchester.. It’s totally up to you guys!

Secondly, we think it would be cool for you couples to create a mood board of what you’d like to do within the shoot, either as a document or on Pinterest (I am currently addicted to using this site!) and email it in to marrymeink@gmail.com. Think themes and what fun you could have with it!

Email in a brief detail about you & your partner and what ideas you have for the shoot (Maybe use masks like in Nathan & Heidi’s engagement?) with your attached pin board.

You have until Sunday 22nd January to get in your entries in, where I will then choose THREE couples, to which on Tuesday 24th January, these three entries will be posted onto the blog where you, my delightful readers, get to choose the winner!

There we go! How does that sound?!! EXCITING!!

Go on.. Get pinning to your boards and get those emails in! – Rach.XX

A Retro, Tattooed Diner Shoot [Tattooed Bride Blog]

Welcome to 2012 on Marry Me Ink! I have been totally overwhelmed by all of your support & kind words about the blog. I couldn’t have done it without some special guys & gals that made 2011 so exciting and who are going to make 2012 for the site VERY exciting and VERY interesting! – STAY TUNED!

Of course, if it wasn’t for the fantastic weddings and inspiration shoots that arrive in my inbox, I couldn’t do it.
Therefore, I thank each & every one  of you that have submitted your work for me to feature on the site.

Let me introduce you to Bethan of Haywood Jones Photography. I have two exciting things to show & tell this week from this lady.. This gorgeous shoot being the first of them! (You’ll have to head back on Saturday to see the second!)

When I first received mail from Bethan – it was to say that she loved my site, at the same time I was actually rifling through her galleries on her site and came across this styled shoot of Chi Chi Revolver in Brighton – one of my favourite places!

“The shoot was born from the idea of showing the beauty of tattooed brides! I just wanted the pics to be really simple and for the gorgeous girl to speak for herself.”

I think that Chi Chi looks absolutely fantastic! I love the retro feel of the diner, from the jukebox to the tall milkshakes!
I absolutely love everything about this shoot! The dress is cute and Chi Chi’s pincurls & tattoos are glorious! (I especially love her knuckle tattoos that spell out “Show Time”)

Do leave some love for this brilliantly styled shoot & be sure to head back Saturday morning for more exciting things from Bethan! – Rach.XX
