An Art Couple Shoot In Rustic France

Today on Marry Me Ink, I get to share with you this styled couple shoot that took place in a beautiful French location from Marine of MG Photographies.

“There was Sarlat, this little old city in the South of France. Somehow lost and all asleep among her old charming stones. In the winter-to-come greyish and freezy weather the city looked deserted.
I was fascinated by the appealing contrast between the old stones and the young fleshes. Both would merge perfectly, because love is universal, has no age, no cloth, no fashion. Love will be forever greated by old stones sceneries …
That was my motto during the shooting. The town was just like an abandoned book, opened at a random page. The beautiful old ocher stones were just a fantastic rhyme to give to my young energetic and modern model couple Julien and Aurelie.”

Julien had a crush on the artistic work of Aurelie whose work he followed for a while before meeting her and was curious to get to know her. Their first meeting was in a café to discuss about artistic projects. Both are models, and Aurelie is also a photographer – Their common energy and values drove them together to partner works.
Sharing this couple moment in a shooting was for them a symbol of the true relationship they share in life. “We’ve always been honest and plain in our relationship” Both are proud to have shared this daily life shooting together. “Meeting a beautiful soul deserves to be claimed.

A Dreamy Bridal Shoot In An Emptied Swimming Pool

Today on Marry Me Ink, I get to share with you an awesome spontaneous bridal shoot from Katie Dell Bridal Designs, Don’t Settle Petal and Lizzie of Shoot It Momma. The shoot was so spontaneous as Lizzie was contacted by her local sports centre to cancel her daughter’s swimming lesson due to pool being drained for repairs. Lizzie jumped at the chance and asked
immediately asked “Any chance I can I come and take photos in it while it’s empty?”.

“That is how easy it was to draw a big red line through one of the items on my photography bucket list.  I can happily say that ‘photo shoot in an empty swimming pool’ has been well and truly done thanks to general maintenance at my local sports centre!” explained Lizzie.

Along with Jody from Don’t Settle Petal I was more than a little bit excited for the opportunity. Not only is she a very talented florist, she’s also an awesome model and aced every part of it. I’m particularly loving her decision to add pink to her hair this week because it stood out perfectly from the blue of the pool!

Dresses came from the love that is Katie Dell Designs and even though we got them a little bit wet, no dresses were harmed during the shoot!  Katie Dell is launching their second collection, bringing a beautifully diverse range of simple silhouettes and modern textured fabrics.

A Magical Disney Themed Yorkshire Wedding – Emma & Andy

Today on Marry Me Ink, I get to share with you Emma and Andy’s Disney themed wedding from Nik Bryant Photography that took place at Waterton Park Hotel in Yorkshire.

We got engaged in Walt Disney World so I really wanted to have some Disney at our wedding. As you would be able to see from our photos, we had a subtle Disney theme focusing more on the key themes of certain films rather than having lots of the characters on show.

Myself and Andy both did all the design aspects of our wedding. We designed all our centrepieces and created them all ourselves with the help of Val who dressed our wedding venue for us. Andy designed our seating plan for the wedding breakfast and did an awful lot of the legwork with talking to suppliers about table and place names as well. He did such a brilliant job.

Neon Dreams – A Cool Romantic Styled Shoot

Today on Marry Me Ink, I thought I would brighten up this blustery week with a floral romantic neon shoot from a rally of Devon and Cornish suppliers including Freeformimages Photography at the An Mor Hotel.

The An Mor Hotel, a real hidden gem in the Cornish Seaside town of Bude, is very unique and quirky, with its very own gin bar. With the hotel decor having retro themed wall dressings and eclectic features, it set the ideal backdrop for our themed styling. Using iridescent fabrics to offset exciting walls and neon lighting to set the mood it made the styling a joy to do! The colourful palette of props, historical photos and paintings around the hotel allowed us to capture, not just vibrant colours but character with a slight edge. This combination of modern and imaginative decor was inspirational in the choice of props and styling used. The classic shape of the stationery was chosen as it complimented the mirror that displayed the table plan from here the shape was then used to create the place settings and the colours chosen complimented the neon pinks and purples bringing everything together.

The first dress from Always & Forever Bridal worn by the model, “Cassandra”, takes sophisticated glam to a whole new level. The extravagantly beaded bodice paves the way to perfection! This long sleeve ballgown by Casablanca Bridal is a bona fide show-stopper, the dramatically sleek satin skirt reflecting light and cascading effortlessly from the natural waistline. This jaw-dropping gown provides a removable lining option, for the most opulent and versatile wedding day look.

The second gown has glittering rhinestones that create lines throughout. “Bria” from the belt at the waist, to the V-shaped linings of the front, back and underarm panels of the bodice and lace applique’s sprinkle across the hemline of the dreamy soft tulle skirt, matching the lace on the fully lined front and illusion back of the bodice, again by Casablanca Bridal.

The leather jacket from Sammy Lea’s Retro Emporium was inspired by the current neon lights trend. It’s groundbreaking in the UK as no other UK based supplier is yet offering jackets that are both lit and painted.
