A Snowy Wedding in Moscow – Ekaterina & Roman

MMI_1205

With the weather being as undecided as it is at the minute – I thought I’d share this stunning Russian wedding that took place in Moscow from Igor Gerasimchuk. Seriously – Tattooed bride Ekaterina and her husband Roman look absolutely beautiful in the snow after their Tzaritsinsky registry office ceremony!

We got to know each other near the fountain on a summer day and 5 days after our acquaintance we went on a trip. Our first romantic city became Kiev and it was there where we understood we couldn’t live without each other. After that we started to live together and 3 years later we went to our another holiday. It was a picnic with nights by the shore of the Black sea. At the sunset when the sun was going down the horizon and the stars were shining, Roman knelt down and asked me to marry him. It was so romantic that sure I said “Yes!” – Otherwise he’d have killed me!

Amanda’s Antics – The Tattooed Bride Journal Part Three

It’s time for part three of what Amanda and Jared have been up to recently with their wedding planning. *SPOILER ALERT* This instalment features some very stunning dresses!

Hello again!
I wish I could say time is slowing down, but days seem to just keep slipping away. Today I will be talking about save the dates and wedding dress shopping!

[1] Save The Dates

During the last post I was able to show you all some of our engagement photos. I cannot stress how important it is to get these done ASAP. I knew I wanted to design my save the date including our most recent pictures. We also had never taken any professional photos together (he dodged it for almost 4 years) up until this point. After looking at different wedding time lines they mentioned save the dates on average go out about 6 months in advance- about 8 for destination weddings. You also have to consider the fact you need to design, purchase, gather addresses and finally… send them out stamped!

Our wedding date again for everyone’s reference is 10-18-14. I was able to get these pictures taken within 2 months of being engaged. I didn’t have to look far because my Maid Of Honor is an amazing local photographer. I knew Jared would be most comfortable around her and I am obsessed with her work. If I have learned anything during this process thus far about saving money, always consider families and friends for your vendors. If there are not any photogs, djs, chef ect. that you know, ask your friends who just got married. Chances are they have a really good person in mind or have researched and could give you some insight.

Back to the save the dates: Designing – these are some of my favorite inspirations

Love Letters – A Glorious Sunset

MMI_1140

Yesterday wasn’t so sunny here in Manchester, so I thought I’d remind us all of the glorious weather we’ve been having lately with this gorgeous shoot from Darren Mack Photography of Kayleigh and Chris’ engagement! (Seriously, the suns through the trees is making me all smiley!)

We met when I started working at Morrisons in the salad bar. Chris worked in the cafe, I was 17 and he was 24. He caught my eye straight away and I had caught his too (I was totally oblivious to this) he would walk through my department at least 10 times a shift (which I didn’t mind cause I liked to look at him bum as he walked by!)

After a little while one of the girls that works with Chris in the cafe was teasing me “I know some one who likes you!”. This went on for months, it started to really annoy me cause I wanted to know if it was the same person I liked.. Eventually I cracked and had a moan at work colleague (I called her Nanna as she’s in her 60’s) and told her about the teasing and that I wanted to know if it was the guy that I was after! At that, I went on my break and when I came back she said “I’ve solved your problem and yes it is Chris that likes you” – I was mortified! I felt so embarrassed!

Later in the shift, he walked through the department again and smirked at me as he went by. I went as red as a tomato cause I knew he knew I fancied him! When he came back through the next time, he stopped and asked me if I wanted to go for a drink sometime (at this point I was mopping the floors.. sexy!) I stuttered a childish yes! He then went on to explain that it would have to be in 2 weeks time as he was skint and had to wait till pay day.. Romantic!
