Bohemian Desert Bridal Inspiration

Today on Marry Me Ink, we have a bit of tattooed bride style from Los Angeles wedding photographer Sarah Mack who recently went to the Desert Trip musical festival which is where the inspiration for the bohemian bridal shoot came from.

I was reminded of the magical quality the desert possesses to attract unique and artistic personalities. It is filled with a simplistic vibrancy that leaves you reflecting on its beauty.

With this shoot I wanted to embody the richness of creativity and beauty the desert possess. One of my good friends, Carly, of Sage and Swan Photography has recently relocated to Joshua Tree and I knew would be the perfect muse for this shoot.

Armed with a breathtaking bohemian wedding gown by BHLDN, Anthropologies bridal line, we wondered out into the Indian Cove Campground, located in Joshua Tree National Park.

A Dark Fairytale Feast

_d4a5456

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Today on Marry Me Ink I get to share with you this dark and beautiful bridal shoot from Stephan Burn Photography, A Peculiar Dream, VV Raven Floral, Rock The Frock Bridal and many more.

The inspiration for the shoot was influenced by V V Raven Creative Floristry. The decadent colour scheme with highlights of subtle metallic rose gold from their logo set the scene.

V V Raven’s passion is to inspire and excite couples willing to push the boundaries on their big day- working with them to reflect and enhance their own personality and creativity. Jo creates floral and fauna abundance with style and beauty.

Our collaborative vision was to convey a dramatic and imaginative visual. A bountiful banquet with cascading flora and fauna was to take centre-stage.

Around this, we built a corncopia consisting of a contrasting a moody and dark pallette, peppered with soft blushes, adding a more feminine warm edge.

E&W Couture – Beach Hut Brides

I have always love the sweet, ethereal style of E&W Couture (Which until recently I didn’t realise stood for  “Ears & Whiskers Couture” – Hence the rabbit ears on their logo!), so when Carly Turner Photography sent me this beach hut shoot, I just had to say yes to featuring it! Carly sent me little email with all the details about the shoot..

I’m a wedding photographer and love shooting weddings, but I also love all the girly bits – especially the dresses! I photographed a wedding in the Spring and my bride had this really simple, unique two piece outfit (long skirt and seperate strapless crop top). The bride had told me that it had been made by E&W Couture and that I should check out the website as they had some really gorgeous stuff.

I got in contact with E&W Couture and ended up arranging to use their dresses on some styled bridal work. I chose dresses that I thought would suit the models best.
