My name’s Becky, which you probably already knew, and I currently live in a small town in Derbyshire called Belper (near Derby and Nottingham).  I am originally from Liverpool, and still have a base in the North West, so I am more than happy to cover weddings in that area.  I’m personally not a fan of having my photograph taken, yet at the same time always think it’s nice to have good photographs of yourself and with family/friends etc, so I can definitely relate to others in the same boat who may be a little camera shy!

An Evening Under The Stars – Maria & Sam

2013.10: MC & SH - Wedding Photographs

Today I get to share with you the rad wedding of Maria & Sam from What The F4 Photography.. They both met through friends at Roller Derby.

“I spotted Sam’s tattoos and beard and thought he looked interesting. He won me over with his sense of humour and big heart.. For Sam I think it was my tattooed thighs!”

I don’t have a creative bone in my body! This is when the little independent shops and Etsy came in handy! Being able to have our wedding reception on a boat with Halloween decorations made it fun and very special.

As I was able to design my dress with Sophie Creed of Ears and Whiskers at Hubbard’s Cupboard from scratch, I didn’t really have to take too much into consideration. The only this I was adamant about was that I didn’t want lace or any other kind of sleeves – It was important that I was able to be me and show my ink off!

Our new collections for 2014 are by some of the most exclusive designers in Europe and internationally. We have always stocked Cymbeline, Stephanie Allin and Callista but the Wtoo, Cabotine and Eliza Jane Howell are all new collections, and one’s we are so excited about stocking this year!

We now have a new appointment package available called the ‘Bride to Be Day’. This is where you as the bride are able to come along to the boutique and have your hair and make up trialled so then the dress can be put on and the full look is worked on. This can also be done for the bridesmaids, so the bride is able to have a full look on her planned vision and, if needed, be tweaked.

For this appointment, brides will pay £55 and the bridesmaids £30 each. There will be fizz and canapés and music to set the overall bridal party theme. We also offer accessory appointments, at no extra charge, should the bride wish to be in her dress and the relevant headdresses tried on so the look is easier to imagine.
